I didn't know what area to put this in so please feel free to move it.
So I have been playing since v0.957, had it fully patched and all the DLC installed.
When they released v0.966, I downloaded the patch version to patch it to the current release. When patched, I tried to run it but it would not work. The mouse would have the loading circle and the PR pre-launch screen wouldn't load.
I then uninstalled it, then deleted the installers and downloaded the client for the v0.966 release and ran them in order. When I try to launch it, it comes up with the pre-launch screen, then freezes.
What's the problem? It worked fine when I played v0.957, but its acting up with v0.966.
I have Windows Vista and my PC can run it so it's not that.

Install it as admin and take the User management settings off, I had the exact same problem. Use google, that's what I did

How do you install it as an admin? I never ran in to this problem before?LieutenantNessie wrote:Install it as admin and take the User management settings off, I had the exact same problem. Use google, that's what I did![]()

Re: Problem with v0.966
right click the installer and select 'run as admin'
when you have installed it all select the PR shortcut and right click it, go to compatability, select windows XP
sorry mate, but these loopholes have to be followed since BF2 is an older program that belonged to a older operating system
