Project Reality Survey Download

K so i was thinking today about project reality and donations and how they need about $400 a month in donations and was wondering well only so many people can donate but what if you could make money from each download so i remembered that i have a survey download account that i use and was wondering why dont you add for the bit torrent download you can either do the survey download or not cause that way people who cant donate could do a free survey (by choice) and make project reality money for each download. Like for example the survey download site i use pays any were from $1 to $3 a download so if you had like even just 20 ppl do the download you could make $30 for the donations and NO ONE from the project reality community would be paying. Of course this would be a second option just an add on for choices of downloads. The place i use is fileice for download.

i hate surveys, esspecially the ones that ask "now sign-up and add 15 emails" and do that like a billion times.
unless they are relativly easy serveys and don't ask for details of the person taking them then i would say yes, otherwise. NO.

Ya ik i normally hate surveys but fileice (on American downloads not Canadian) offers 1 were you just have to do the first page and it is very simple and you can do fake info on this one ik the other ones that are like enter your phone number here but it is not 1 of those like idk if they still have that survey but if they do it is a VERY easy survey and ya.

5 seconds of ads before you get the download. I'd rather use that than surveys.

Or that like it doesnt matter it is just a suggestion cause they seem to need donation money (kinda) and it is just a way for them to make it easier but like anything like adfly or survey downloads would be good for Pr. (The better thing with survey downloads is that they can make more money)

i would think the issue here would be the source of the money. ie. how the money is acquired by the PR devs.

this is a mod of an existing game, which means it is illegal to make profit off of it. Thus i'm not sure whether this would count as illegal. the reason donations are legal is because they are "donations" meant only to lighten the financial burdens of running servers and such. Having a regular stream of incoming money for ads might be considered profit.

ads on the site/forums are one thing, but for downloading the files sounds a bit sketchy.

Ya i see what you are saying so yea it might be illegal so yea i guess you cant do that.
