Why do you use VGA cable? :? ??: If you can, get DVI cable and try out then. I guess that is your problem mate.

CPU - 110T Phenom x6
GPU - GTX 580 3gb
RAM - Corsair 8gb(2x4gb) 1600
PSU - thermaltake 750w
Monitor - LG L226WT

I have my GPU connected to my monitor via VGA cable with a DVI-D adapter.

Now, im getting these horizontal lines going up and down my picture only when im in game (BC2, PR, Anything else) its fine when im on my desktop though...

So when i enable Vsync and triplebuffering, the lines are still there but stationary. I downloaded fraps and took pictures with vsync on and off, and the lines do NOT show up in the pictures. These lines are pretty faint and i have to look semi carefully to notice them, however i am not a fan of flaws. ask my women... :-o

is this a problem because my BC2 runs at 150FPS and my monitor only reaches 60hz? if so then why when i run vsync would the lines still show up?

What the freak is going on here? Bad GPU? Possible interference running from my PSU into my VGA cable? Im stumped. I have a DVI to DVI cable coming from newegg.com. But i figured i would post on the forums before they come just incase the cables are not the problem.

i also have my wireless router about 2feet to the right from my computer case and monitor, but two feet to the left is my old computer and there is no problem there.
Firstly, Jealous of your CPU. Secondly, it may have something to do with your cables. Make sure your cables are in correctly. 150FPS on BC2 had nothing to do with it i guarantee you. xD The possibility of it GPU related is there. i will update once i have researched this more.

**UPDATE**

Okay, firstly, try reinstalling your drivers and secondly, benchmark your GPU for me and make sure it is running as intended just to rule out some bad stuff. ;)
Try using UNIheaven test or Furmark.

I replaced my VGA with DVI and the lines are gone!! Thanks for the help. But now im wondering why my GPU is performing low in furmark.

-EDIT-

Just updated to Nvidias 280.26 Drivers and my furmark benchmark is now a score of 1798@720p. And unigine i get 1247@1680x1050 4xAA 4xAF
1798 @720? 0.0 Just make the settings 1920x1080 or whatever resolution you are using. No MSaa no extreme burning and no displacement mapping. Thats a low score but it could have something to do with it's power controller chip. It automatically adjusts and on furmark it tends to not use all its power. Should get aroundhere if you tested uniheaven.

Glad your lines went away. :D

Here is pro tip - never ever use VGA cable IF its the only option, if you can use everything else, like HDMI, Display port or DVI
