Kinda new to PR and I am having an issue I am hoping one of you can help with.
I would hate to start a duplicate thread, so I tried searching the web and these forums before this posting.
I have a Logitech G13 game pad configured to work with BF2. I love the thing and have grown very used to using it. However, no matter what I try, I can't get the PR mod to recognize any input from the G13 at all.
BF2v works fine and I have tried Forgotten Hope 2 with success as well.
What I have already tried:
Creating a new profile and setting profile to execute with the PR.exe by path in the profiler sofware.
Copying my BF2 profile and using PR.exe to enable that renamed profile.
Creating a 'qwerty' profile.
Used the manual recognition method that has you load the game and then hit a confirm button on the gamepad to tie your current profile to the currently active full screen game.
Still no joy. If you have a G13 and use it in PR, could you please reply with help/ideas?

I cant help you with your problem but this should of been placed in technical support.
try deleting all the controls in the pr options menu and redoing them.

Re: Logitech G13
I use a G 15 but i believe the software is quite the same.
Are you running the Logitech program as administrator? otherwise it wont recognize any input while your in-game.
For some reason I also have problems making macros while being in-game.... but I have no problems executing existing commands with the G15.

Re: Logitech G13
I tried deleting commands to replace them with G13 inputs, but the game simply doesn't see the device. Example, I remapped logitech key G4 to "W". When in the PR controls menu, under common, I attempt to replace the W with G4 key for command "move forward" and it just sits there waiting for input as I press the G4 key over and over. A press of a regular keyboard key works fine.velocity wrote:I cant help you with your problem but this should of been placed in technical support.

When I scanned the forum menu, I didn't see technical support. I'll use it in the future if I have more hardware/tech questions.
Yes, running Logitech Key Profiler as admin. Still having issues with the fact that I can swap commands on the fly (in game) with Vanilla and FH2, but PR doesn't seem to recognize any input at all from the G13.Gracler wrote:I use a G 15 but i believe the software is quite the same.

Thank you both for the replies!

I have a G13. Since my controls for PR are the same as BF2, I just run the BF2 profile and it works just fine.

Re: Logitech G13
An update: The G13 now recognizes that I am running a Project Reality profile that I created, but still will not allow inputs.
I confirmed by watching LCD when clicking the shortcut and by minimizing the game. When I bring the game back to full screen from the task bar (or when clicking the .exe to start the game) the G13 LCD flashes a message: Profile Activated: Project Reality.
The G13 is doing what it should and activating the correct profile for the game. If try to use that profile in game or remap keys in the controls menu, it is as if I I not pressing keys. Same if a try to use the BF2 profile or a generic QWERTY profile.
If anyone is using a G13 for this game, could you please reply? I'd like to confirm it works with PR before I take any more drastic measures. (like reinstalling the O/S etc)
I did uninstall PR, run CCleaner, defrag, restart and reinstall PR today. No luck.

Re: Logitech G13
have you tried the BF2 profile, since when running Project Reality takes input from BF2. That is why bf2.exe is running as well as some other files it has in it. Try opening your profile when bf2.exe is opened then run PR. IIRC this should work

Re: Logitech G13
I have tried running my BF2 profile. It is also unresponsive. I had no intentions of even making a PR profile, since as B.Olson pointed out, the controls are the same. I just made one to see if it might help resolve the issue.
At least now I know someone is using the G13 in PR with success. (thank you B.Olson) That is encouraging. I will delete the PR profile since it isn't needed and revert to trying to get the BF2 profile to work with PR.
This is so puzzling. My profile works in BF2, there is no reason it shouldn't work in PR.
Thanks for the replies. I will update if I make any progress!

I will try this and report back.sylent/shooter wrote:have you tried the BF2 profile, since when running Project Reality takes input from BF2. That is why bf2.exe is running as well as some other files it has in it. Try opening your profile when bf2.exe is opened then run PR. IIRC this should work

Re: Logitech G13
Well, I fired up BF2 and conformed that it switched to that profile according to the G13 LCD. I then tried starting PR and although it was still on the BF2 profile, I didn't get the display message from the G13 saying: Profile Activated: Battlefield 2. So, I tried associating the BF2 profile with PR again, same as many times before, but this time it worked!
No idea what the issue was though. when I installed PR, BF2 was the active profile since I was playing lots of BF2 to reacquaint myself with it and get used to using the G13 in BF before installing PR. So I know I had BF2 as the active profile, it should have just worked right away.
At any rate, I am very appreciative of all the replies and glad I'll be able to play PR with the G13 now

Good thing it turned out well. Moving the thread to the Tech Support section and leaving it open in case anyone else should have problems with their G13s.
