mic problems plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!

i recently had a virus and rebooted my computer i reinstalled bf2 and pr and my voip wont work i have no mic icon in game and i cant hear any one nor can they here me i tryed running the mic test in both bf2 and pr now my mic works for about 2 mins and just as before my mic icon goes away and i cant hear agian.i once had this problem before and i came hear and had it resolved i remember some one gave me a link and i had to run something and it fixed it but that was a long time ago and dont remember plz help me out pr is no fun with out a mic.

oh hear are my spec's

XP p4 processer 3 gigs of ram i have the digital sound max blaster card i think thats what you call it
plz any help i'm ready to get my teamwork on
