?50 (and around ?50 for other expenses) + You have to bring ur own rig? For that money you can go to a club and have fun for 2 days + memories for the rest of your life.

EDIT: Infraction given for attitude problem. I guess Sprat's ego got in the way of his eyes, and he missed all those Help for Heroes images and links in the news post. It's for charity... - Gaz

It's going to be legendary. All the PR events in the past are unique and perhaps never to be repeated, in quite the same way :)

The efforts put into organising the event up to this point isn't immediately apparent, but trust me it's a lot.

Great camaraderie, unique insights into the team and the game as well as the excitement of some seriously hardcore gaming with the biggest enthusiasts of PR.

Natala and I will be there (and you will get to laugh at my T-Shirt (more info on that later)) :P

If only I was 18 and if only it wouldn't be so expensive (flight, drive, hotel, return flight)...

Be sure to make a video of the event!!

I actually did see the HoH things. The thing is, I dont think a lot of players want to pay for the charity. A lot of us here would just like to attend a PR event and not some charity event.

If you go to a club and have enough fun to create memories to last you a life time, you don't go out anywhere near enough.

Just to point out, it IS the 2011 PR Event....but any profit made is going to Help for Heroes, one of the leading British Forces charities, what with PR's main mission statement and the close ties with UK Armed Forces...

He talks for me too! ;)

Anyway, good luck with the event, and I hope that you gather enough people to enjoy the event, and to gather charity money!

I guess the issue is a lot of the people on here are probably unemployed or are students and so ?50 is a lot. For anyone who works it is nothing and if you've never given ?50 to a charity then nows your chance to do something positive for someone else (regardless of war politics).

The cost of ?47.50 is due to the hiring of the venue, insurance, power requirements and hire of equipment. Any overhead is then given to HfH. The PR Team involved come away with experience to ensure any future events have experienced staff involved, and a relevent and well deserved charity picks up any kind of profit.

If you don't agree with the charity, or price, feel free to not post. It's not up for negotiation, so no point in discussing here.

If it wasn't a charity event then the prices for room hire, power etc would all go up, and this would then have to be reflected in the price anyway. One example, we are getting the venue for less than a quarter of the price it would normally cost. The fact that it is a charity event actually makes it cheaper for everyone as well as providing the team and all of those who attend the opportunity to support a fantastic charity. The fact that you can game overnight on the Saturday and won't have to pay anything to stay over at the venue cuts out the accomodation costs for most people (cheap hotel rooms alone normally around 29 - 70 GBP per night). If it wasn't a charity event we wouldn't even have the opportunity to game overnight. It is the generosity inspired by the charity that has allowed us to have all of these wonderful perks. It has also allowed us to make more money for the charity and at the same time keep costs down for the attendees.

If it is too expensive for you then that's a shame, but hopefully there will be other opportunities to attend similar events in the future.

Is there a way other people(outside of UK) can make a donation to this event without actually going?

Next even should be in Miami haha!

Hey great job to the organizers for thinking of this, and as well for the work and idea of making it a charity event. (Great cause too)

Sadly won't be able to make it unless someone is willing to fly me across the pond hehe

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.
