Project Reality: BF2 v0.97 Patch Released!

The award winning Project Reality and Black Sand Studio teams are proud to announce the official release of Project Reality: Battlefield 2 v0.97!

After the release of Project Reality: BF2 v0.96, there were a few critical issues discovered that could not be resolved via a server side hotfix. So, it was decided to release a client patch to fix these issues.

Since PR:BF2 v0.97 is only a client-side patch and we want to release it as quick as possible, there is no preload period and the installer is not password protected. The files are available for all to download and install straight away via our official downloads page:
Please note the different types of installers on the official downloads page. If you already have Project Reality: BF2 v0.96 installed, you simply need to download and install the v0.96 to v0.97 "Patch". Otherwise, if you have any previous versions, or you do not have Project Reality: BF2 installed at all, you will need to download the v0.97 "Full" installers, which comes in 3 separate parts due to the sheer amount of content in Project Reality: BF2. All three parts must be installed in order to play if you use the "Full" installers.


Project Reality: BF2 Available On Desura!
You can now download Project Reality: BF2 v0.97 and all future releases on Desura. Desura is a community driven digital distribution service for gamers, putting the best games, mods and downloadable content from developers at gamers fingertips, ready to buy and play.

The core aim of this release is to improve your overall gaming experience and increase the playability of the game. Project Reality: BF2 v0.97 Server Files
If you currently host a Project Reality: BF2 game server, you can download the server files for Project Reality: BF2 v0.97 via the Server Admin CP already. If you are interested in hosting a new Project Reality: BF2 server, please follow the link below to apply for a server license.

Yes. You can use deployables now and jets have an enlarged OOB.

May I ask for how long the jets may stay out of bounds?

does anyone else's go unresponsive when it says "patching files"?
I know it says that it may take a few minutes and appear unresponsive, but it's been sitting here for a half hour now doing nothing. I'm gonna try torrenting it

Are you sure there is not PB updater in the background which needs you to press next?

I have a question though:

Will the 0.95 single player and christmas map packs still work with this version? And if so, should I remove these map packs before patching and reinstall them later?

afaik there should be no issue with teh official PR map packs
