Last night around 10-11PM (GMT -5) we had two full on griefers on Ramiel that took the server from full to ghost town in about 30 minutes. Running Gary into our own cache, etc.

These sharts are literally server-killing level griefers, and should be removed from the game, period.

I noticed that the NwA servers has a lot of auto-teamswitching going on.

Next to that, i also see a lot of manual teamswitching done by serveradmins too. At one point, i even saw 36 players on blufor, which in turn pushes other players to the other team.

Getting teamswitched is not a fun experience in PR, and should happen as less as possible.

Agreed - this is a issue we've discussed many times in our community.

Problem is that the default 2 player difference isn't enough to deal with the ebb and flow of players leaving and joining a server. But if it's any higher a pronounced team stack would be allowed. If people weren't so selfish (generalisation) then this wouldn't be a problem as they'd self balance the teams, sadly though this doesn't often happen in my experience.

There is however are simple solutions to prevent yourself being teamswapped:

a) go squad leader
b) go commander
c) don't die

(apologies for being slightly ot)

use !r and report urself and ask for a switch back. mumble is always helpfull if ure sqd got teamswitched or u need an admin for another reason.

i agree, getting switched can be horrible but there are other factors as well as the ones already mentioned.

we run smart balance (so clans will enter the server on the same side) now this is something that can really mess things up if the clan involved doesn't obey our rules on smart balance acceptance (no more than 6 on one side)
we do try and enforce this but as you can imagine it is difficult when clans 'bully' themselves on to one side.
many admin switching of players is done in direct response to your complaint Nyte, in other words when i see someone (or they are reported) who has played on one side for a couple of rounds and they get 'random' switched i feel its only fair on them that they get switched back but as you can imagine this can have a 'knock on' effect.
as for people who only want to be on Blufor or the best team etc then sorry but there is virtually nothing an admin can do about it and still actually try and play PR, the tracking of people is incredibly time consuming and generally will only happen if there is a strong suspicion that they are upto no good.

tldr. if you have been unfairly switched let us know and we will try and sort things out, you could also come to our web site and request a TS pass word which will give you an even shorter route to server admins.

thanks

****FOR ANYONE THAT CANNOT CONNECT TO TS OR THE PR SERVER***

The server provider will be running a diagnostic check on the box this morning.(17/08/2011) This may interfere with the box performance. Please bear with us while this important check is carried out.

Many thanks in advance.

EDIT: SERVER IS ONLINE ASWELL AS TEAMSPEAK

"Round is ending... Or is it?"
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Server(s) have some following so teamwork might be OK at given times, i see several use the mumble channel etc.
But the rigid asset rules/squad naming system i don't appriciate at all, it has only negative consequences as i see it. Another negative point is the ridiculus amount of HUD spam. Plain annoying and very disruptive, i've not seen anything like it on other servers.
NWA (aas) is a pretty far down on my short list of potential play grounds, however it's still on there.

I played there a few days ago and noted the tremendous amount of spam... that and regular text chat makes for a difficult game experience.

Tactical Gamer was an Excellent Server. Yeah that's right, I said that, go a head and BAN ME from your server now!
