Been searching around and couldnt find anyway to diagnose and fix this error.

renamed

also make sure your HeightmapsSecondary's are in the right format and size

recompiling the terrain should fix it

used to happen if the editor crashes while saving

Used to, or still does? because sometimes i asume that it crashed after it finished saving, but the editor is truly one unpredictable wanker
