Can't install .96

Battlefield v1.5 has not been Installed. Please make sure you have installed Battlefield v1.41, then Battlefield 2 v1.5 before installing Project reality: BF2

I played .957 and had BF2 1.5 patch but idk whats going on.

I have same problem. I just copied battlefield 2 folder from my laptop. Probably problem is missing registry strings, could someone post his registry branch? win xp

You cannot just simply copy folders, you must use the installers, that's what they are there for...

Actually you can, and people do this all the time for various and generally important reasons. I am running my bf2 right off my jump drive because I can't afford to purchase a motherboard, let alone pay for food to eat, that has more sata slots available due to the fact that my motherboard is failing, and therefore i am limited to one small hard drive which is currently occupied by an operating system.
Perhaps YOU shouldn't write software requiring registry entries that may or may not be there. Registry is antiquated. Should've just put a "choose folder" dialog, as is standard for mods.

Once I get this mod running, I'll regret my hasty and rude words to you, most assuredly. However right now, a family member of mine was murdered, and I have no sympathy or interest in new problems that shouldn't exist in first place - I would love to just play some damn BF2. So, with that said, I apologize for calling you an *** hole, but I felt it was earned.

likely necessary for others in my situation. Need the disc to play anyway, therefore shouldn't be hard to locate your cd-key and input that registry value.

After I get all of this done to fix these clearly superficial errors, I will report back in the case that I encounter more problems - which I likely will because it is just one of THOSE kinds of days - so as to be Helpful.
