Lee Enfield needs more player controlled power!

Off topic, but your point in your first statement about RO2 making you click to chamber a new round, that is realistic because it lets you have FULL control over your rifle, I mean, because bolt action rifles do not automatically chamber a round do they?(IIRC only semi-auto and full-auto weapons do this)

Oh I'm well aware how bolt-action rifles work. However video games are just not 'the real deal', if you catch my drift. I do not play games to easy-mode steam-roll my opponents, I like a challenge as much as the next guy. But having to do something as mundane as clicking a second time after I shoot to bolt a rifle goes beyond my patience spectrum. Plus that when it's done automatically by the game it goes faster, and the people that do not do it manually have an advantage over the ones that like to do it manually..

Anyway, enough off-topic for me. I think that the Enfield is being used improper by people that go close quarters with it. Sure, at some point it is inevitable to get in close range, especially when playing as a medic in a squad. But let your squad mates handle the CQC, you stay back and heal their asses

^shotguns have deviation? since when? you can dolphin dive like a boss with them, and if you paint a dot on your screen you just made a hardware aimbot.

It was added specifically to correct that problem in 0.95 I believe.

this is, of course, very true. a medic shouldn't even want to clear rooms. moreover, the taliban isn't exactly famous for it's urban house to house fighting either.

I doubt you'd just shrug off a 7.62mm NATO either, yet the G3 requires two shots to take someone out.

Yeah and Trigger, just watched that vid.

If you shoot someone in the legs in PR it bypasses their body armour and causes more damage than a hit to the chest. Ironically, having watched the vid, the actual time to being 'unconscious' due to lack of blood is probably identical to in the vid.

I guess you're confused with the no.1 series (famous long bayonet), I doubt the taliban really see the value of bayonets, or take hold of 100 years old bayonets for that matter.

no.4 has the famous spike bayonet, but I can't picture the taliban with those either

In my opinien the Lee Enfield does not fit to the taliban medic. Most of the medics in game have iron-scoped or red dot weapons (excluding the german medic). I guess the devs wanted the medics to stay out of mid- and long range fire fights, covering the flanks and rear and - of course - taking care of the wounded.
The taliban medic is the only medic in game with an designated long range weapon. Taliban are inferior to Bluefor in long range fire fights and should avoid them. The Lee Enfield isnt an exception. A scoped Bluefor standard rifle is way superior to a Lee Enfield in mid to long range.
I cant see why the taliban medic should get in mid and long range fire fights with this inferior weapon and his support role. In my opinien he needs a small weapon for self defence in close combat.

The Enfields are a cherished item in Afghanistan. The traditionalists and marksmen love these weapons more than the AK's. Some Taliban kept their Enfields rather than adopting the AK even during their war with the Soviet Union. I think the Enfield is a perfect fit for the Taliban Medic, I've played many games only playing the medic role, as long as you play the role of a medic and snipe unsuspecting enemy. You can rank up pretty good kills while reviving downed Taliban. The only issue is that the Taliban medic is pretty much useless in CQC, like when clearing any rooms in Kokan.

For those who seem out of the loop RO2 will not be adding manuel reload. Manuel reload has been part of RO from the start.

It makes more of an issue when your in the range where a baynoet is usful. A good example is when your trying to fight an enemy in a building, you turn a corner while clearing the building and come face to face with your foe. You might try to shoot him with your rilfe, but if you miss the first shoot (which is often a kill shot) it would be better to use your baynoet and not have to work your rilfe first. It's the same as having to reload your weapon when it's out of ammo. Sure auto reload makes the game easier, but at the same time you might not want to be forced to do a long reload at a bad time (you really shouldn't be able to stop a reload in the middle with nothing bad happening such as having to drop your weapon if you swtich weapons).
