PRSpy data source?

Post by piepieonline »

Not sure if this fits here or in the modding section, but whatever.

As the title states, does anyone know where PRSpy pulls its data from? I'm thinking about coding an Android application for it, but yea, where does the data come from, and is it a public source?

Thanks

Its a private file that we update on realitymod (and I think it has a 5 or 10 minute refresh time on it). Can't reveal the exact details as it wasn't me that made it, think it was Egor who originally wrote the program that does the data collection and writes the server list file, but then PrSpy (which was made by Geze) polls it for the data.

Thanks guys, though this might make it a little bit harder...

Is there a public server list, or is that also read from the private file on the realitymod site? Same with the game, how does it know where to find all the servers running the current PR version?

I'll fully read those links tomorrow, need to sleep now, but thanks a lot!

Its a private list that we generate for PRSpy. The actual game itself uses the Gamespy master server lists. You are not supposed to access these, as GSpy encrypted the protocol (although its not really encryption, its just byte ordering). However if you look about ... and for the name "Luigi Auriemma" ... you will find out all you need to know (assuming you can deal with the information, its not beginner stuff).
