Yup, i agree, only reason I bought 42 was DC, same with 4 friends of mine, they have never even really tried to play 1942. Without the engine, these mods wouldnt be made tho. You have to respect the BF devs for that. But the BF devs have to respect mods, and they have, especially hiring Trauma Studios. BF2 does seem a little more arcadey, compared to 42, but the mods will own.

Not really. I purchase UT2004 and never once played it. Ever. I only purchased it so I could play Red Orchestra. I don't expect that I'll every play BF2.
