Im want to add a village part to it, what do pepople rekon, 1. The Us would have to advance through village and then into city. 2. The MEC would advance through village into city. (basically which side of city is it on) Thanks for supporrt keep suggestions coming.

Village to city for US since that is more realistic.

Also, are the US going to have to advance into the city from their base, or do they already control a large part of the area because a lot of those flags are US in the screens? IMO, the US entrence into the whole area from 1 or 2 bases would be the best sneario. BHD style.

@stal200048, yea would be nice to have the brits but I dont care, Id make it Us is brits dont have tanks yet.
@sof, the US flags are only there for testing so I can spawn anywhere. Yea most of the flags will be neutral/mec.

One more suggestion. Keep the US on this map and don't switch to British. You are totally going to mess up the feel of this map for no reason at all besides having the British in it because this map was meant to be played with choppers and tanks and infantry. If you include the British, it will have to be smaller scale, and if you have an airport or runway like you say, no one would realistically assault one without armor or mass amounts of vehicles. That long walk to the flag in the second screenshot would also kill them if they had to do that on foot or in vehicles without tank support.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of British maps, but this one seems fine with the Americans right now for what you are trying to do.

Thats the Idea, Keep it US until the full range of british kit is in PR. Probably in 1.

Although Basrah is known for its British control. I want, like you, to have this make full use of all assets.

I cant think of any other city maps with jets, and Im thinking off adding some on the larger sizes. Seeing as the terrain in this is about the size of El Alamein.

I don't think that would be too good an idea with the planes because we already have artillery, and planes would just add to the constant death etc. Helicopters would be enough. Also, when I was talking about the US, I was thinking about keeping them for the level because it just seems more like a US level IMO. The way it is set up, it seems more likely of a US sneario. I guess I am just thinking of the Battle for Baghdad in OIF which I saw on the history channel and it just mirrors your design a lot.

I agree with 00SoldierofFortune00, no need for planes, they are lonewolf killers from the sky, choppers will fine. This map could also be a great tank map, I can imagine a US tank conboy invading the city and Mec defending with mines, AnT, C4 etc also make some alleys where the tank can't get to the flags so Mec can defend against US infantery and not become a tank rape killing.

I can't wait to play your map.

TO give it a more realistic feel, put some real runways criss crossing each other and such so that it actually feels like a real airport but don't put any jets on them. Maybe just have the choppers on them.

You used a bridge support and a gatehouse to make that tower?
Once you close the other side it'll look very good!

Added another screen in OP. I have started developing some trenche and bunker systems so its gonna be a real mad battle to break into the city. The team that needs to take those trenches over will be well equipped to do so though, this aint gonna be no killing field.

excellent! there's a terrain detail texture that matches the trench terrain texture, stones04 or something. not essential, but it's quite a good texture & will give you a very close match when tiled @64...

Will the the Mosque cappable radius strech to those barriers around it so you can keep the enemy out while capping?

You mean suffixes. I would love to do more custom skins for my map (i.e. Chinese billboards, roadsigns, highway signs) but I don't have Photoshop.

The falg is actually sitting in the middle, on top of the dome. Then I made a large radius and offset it so it ground level. You can cap it all around the mosque, but not near the high outer walls, thesres another set of inner walls which it stretches too though.

What Im going towards now is Air support for US, but Heavy AA support for MEC. As seen in the pics pelow, ive got 3 mobile AAs in those bunkers like I had at the airport. So air support would have to be used carefully until the AA is taken out (they take one c4 and 3 slams) The Idea is that once the forward AA falls, The US can land the birds in the city and around the first flag to make it easier for capping, and then the citys open.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g270/ ... 101/AA.jpg

I want to have the whole fighting from desert into the city thing, but I want the first flag to be kinda easy to cap by the US, so most of the fighting can be done in the city which is the beef of this map. thoughts?
