This is most likely your problem. 550W is pretty low for that power consuming card, though I may be wrong. If the computer works with the 9800GTX, then it is definitely your PSU.Lutefisk wrote:Hi!

my guess is: you havent hooked the card correctly to your power adapter...did you check that?

IT to the rescue! 
The standbye mode... does it happen to just be a little cursor in the corner blinking?
If it is, then you are going to wanna force boot through the bios as the bios is confused. if you hit the power button and no system startup, then it is the PSU but check your video card cables and make sure it is in the slot correctly. Get back to this thread and i will help you out.
