Unable to F2 into gunner spot in vehicles

Ever since the patch update I've been unable to switch seat positions in a HMV/Techi to man the secondary gun.

If I'm in a techi I am able to F3 into the passenger seat gun but never the .50 or SPG.

I've reset my controls to defaults and reset the key bindings but nothing has fixed it so far.

Any ideas?

Nope, works fine in other programs.

Initially I thought it was a 'fix' to prevent people from one-manning vehicles which would of made sense and add another layer of 'reality' to the game but I guess it's just me.

I'm sorry, but I've never heard of this problem. But I guess there are other people who have had problem, and are able to help you.

Try to clear your registry for any errors with some program.
Clear your bf2 cache.
Defrag bf2 directory
Reinstall PR
Reinstall Bf2
Reinstall OS
BUY NEW COMPUTER!11!eleven!1

I had this problem as well in one game... It fixed itself after rebooting the PC and game. It's not just F2 but all F-keys that doesn't work. I use XP too.

Then it might be that you pressed hotkey for different language layout. Some of my letters changed place after I pressed certain buttons.
