This thread is intended so that attendees of PR Con 2011 can post their own pics/vids and thoughts of the event so the public can get an insight into what the event was like.

Hey guys,

Just got back from PR CON 2011, which entailed a quality weekend of gaming, meeting great people and having a blast. Highlights were killing most of the Dev team and hearing Rank's cries as he got killed over and over again, Matrox's suicide Chinook (vid below), Rhino getting kidnapped and interrogated and playing Sangin!

There were a few hitches such as only 30ish people attending, there being extremely limited internet connectivity and steam being generally sh*te but that is what you can expect for a first time event, lessons have been learnt and I can't wait to do it again next year, hope to see loads of you there!

Massive thanks to all who helped me get this together, in particular Dan from Alpha Networks, [R-DEV]Gaz, matteaton for sorting out all the camo netting, passes etc, Smeg and Darkpowder for the awesome posters, Darkpower for all of his other assistance, Drew who videoed the event, my fiance Lisa for all her help and support in organising the event, Rivermead Leisure Complex (GLL) who were brilliant hosts, and Templant for providing the power. I would also like to thank everyone who attended for making the event so much fun, Team A for fighting hard, Team B for absolutely smashing me in most rounds of PR XD, and for those players who took part in the epic Left 4 Dead 2 match

I have even bigger plans for next year, and everyone will be given a lot more notice to sign up and make their travel arrangements (we should hopefully be able to give at least 3 months notice, if not more). Internet access is a must for next year's venue which should make life a lot easier, and there may even be the option of extending the event. Four days of gaming for PR CON 2012 anyone?

One thing that I learned over the weekend was to never request a pick up when matrox is flying. How can you a get a chinook stuck on a flat ground?? Overall it was great and looking forward to next year's.
