Al Basrah - Fords still remain?

Post by dtacs »

Apparently, this was fixed for the next version, yet the fords still remain and are easily used totally negating the point of many CSB positions, which can be major gameplay changers when placed.

Its my opinion that they should be totally removed as indicatedawhile ago, or the water opacity corrected so you can actually see them.

Its really disappointing using them, because the logistics side of battle (which IMO should play a much much more important role in PR alongside ground and air) is left with the sole purpose of supplying crates and transporting players.

And yes Rhino, by land bridges I mean Fords
:)

So if the insurgent team takes out all the bridges leading from the island where the UK base is to where the city is, the UK team will no longer have the means of getting anywhere in any ground vehicle? No logistics trucks, no Landrovers, no armoured support? This idea would severely cripple the armour layout of the map, and would only make the one with the helicopters a viable choice.

fixed your topic title and post to have the correct term :D

But on a more serious note, I can't even remember posting in your last topic, although it was a year ago now, let alone this problem was still there...

Will put it on the bugs list and hopefully someone will fix it.

I'm quite sure the issues with the CSB's are known to the developers.. right?

I have no problem getting across a CSB, especially these shorter CSBs with fewer joints. You just have to stay aligned with the ramp.

Ford - definition of Ford by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

ford (f?rd, frd)
n.
A shallow place in a body of water, such as a river, where one can cross by walking or riding on an animal or in a vehicle.
tr.v. ford?ed, ford?ing, fords
To cross (a body of water) at a ford.

anyway i agree those places should really be removed, more teamwork and bridge defense is always nice
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.
