Re: Clan League
Well there certainly is a void to fill.
Instead of "Clans only", which I could see as incentive for new guys to join/form clansm you could have more of a "pick up" approach wherein clans/teams could fill their roster with unaffiliated players from something like a free agent pool.
I thin this shouldve happened a while ago tbh.

We've run a 10v10 comp for the last few years. Aside from the logistical reasons which limit our communities ability to participate in some of the larger events (timezone and ping) I think small format comps have their place and would encourage you to give it a go.
1) Small numbers mean more people can participate (low overheads in effort to organise a team amongst your friends)
2) Skirmish format keeps things pretty well balanced skill wise - tactics and teamwork being the focus rather than skills with heavy assets (read: even people with limited PR experience can participate on about the same level as more experienced players).
3) Quick matches mean that even time restricted people (family commitments?) are more likely to get involved.
I personally love the small format - the most intense nail biting games I've had have been in the 10v10 comp.

What about the golden squad event. That had massive popularity. But noone followed through. It can be something like that?

if you are going to do this you need a staff...no I don't volunteer...but your staff needs to hunt down people willing and able.

Re: Clan League
Golden squad please, not clan ladder.
Easier to organize, smaller interchangeable teams that are capable of having multiple tournaments at once, plus they don't take as long.

Re: Clan League
What Wicca failed to mention is that we've been liasing with PRTA, (who are running this in beta within their own community) and want to support this fully PR wide. Think how the PR League used to be if you seen it. Was the best place for competitive clan warfare.BloodAce wrote:IMHO this community doesn't need another "Clan League" which already has been proven to fail.
The 6v6+ meant that clans and communities had the abilitiy to battle against smaller or bigger communities/clans, and with a bit of a chat, Clan Leaders/reps can up the battles if the opposition can field them. It means that it's inclusive of small communities and clans, and means that you don't need a huge community to play on a given day from your roster. If this goes how the PR Team expect, we will fully support it without an issue. Think PRT level support, officially.
Ref 'pubbies', if you pool yourselves into a 'community', then you're more than welcome under the design plan. That's something that was already looked at

Re: Clan League
Let the teams decide how many players based on their own rosters? If two larger clans face off why not let them field a full team, and at the same time if there is a smaller team vs a larger one they would only be able to field 6-10.

Due to many complex and far reaching issues both within and outside of the Admin Team, it has been decided that the PRT will be placed on indefinite hold and Campaign 10 cancelled.
has the prt league also been halted ?
