Wireless connection and PR

Post by USMCMIDN »

I have time Warner cable turbo internet and seldom I will get disconnected and it is very annoying.

Is there any way to help me not get kicked in PR because I lose internet connection for a second? ? ? A way of improving my connection to PR?

Does the tinfoil thing rly work?

Anyone else running TW turbo and doesnt have problems? If so what have you been doing?

Sometimes I play pr on a laptop while im in college and i would drop connections playing on wifi at times. Though the university internet is pretty reliable, its not so great in my 7th floor dorm. Only way i found a solution so it is to hook to the phone jack. For home, hook up to a wire.

I believe you mean network cable, not phone jack.

In Denmark we got 2 sets of internet setups..

1 goes trough the phoneline, and the otherone trough a wall. Which we like to call a "hyper connection"

So I can tell ya, its sure is possible to use a phoneline :)

you mean to say you use a sledge hammer to knock down a wall to get your internet?

Brother, the internet is NOT just a series of tubes.

btw, in the case of our OP, he means network cable, he is not running DSL if he is using the despicable TimeWarner

If you are running vista, I used to lose connection a lot.

There's a fix for it somewhere, I got it a long time ago.

Has something to do with broadband flagging, or something like that. .

Log in to your router and check your wireless settings. Make sure it's on "802.11 n". This should improve your internet.

I'm not quite sure how you do it in the US, but in Norway you would type in the IP of the router(?) into your web-browser. Instead of writing "www.realitymod.com", you would write 192.01.125.120 (this is not a real IP, as far as I know).

From here, you would have to make an account (unless there's already made one), and simply click your way to wireless-settings, and find out where to change connection-type.

Feel free to ask if anything was a bit unclear, or if you have any further questions.
