Vehicles placing Mapmarkers
My suggestion is that drivers or squad leaders with an crewman kit should be able to place markers on the map to let the rest of the team know of enemy movements.
Because know it is really annoying that for example if you are driving an warrior on al bashrah and you suddenly got alot of activity and you suspect a cache that you can't mark it on the map so the rest of the team know's where to start looking.

Good idea. The Commander's CITV in all armored vehicles should have the exact same comm-rose available on the SL Radio, would make recon actually purposeful in armored vehicles and increase cohesion between squads.

Same as the SL radio. Nice idea, this must be implemented!

Re: Vehicles placing Mapmarkers
I bought this up a while back within the team forums.
It's a good idea especially for the recon vehicle class (scimi, BRDM, VN-3).
If it can be easily done to replace the Q comma rose for when the driver is using the commander's view leaving the thermal controls (and the attack, defend, observe etc) alone then I can't see why this wouldn't be implemented.

I remember reading this before, and I support it once more. It's a great idea.

Good idea but maybe just add it for the scout vehicles like the scimitar to make them true scouts.

Re: Vehicles placing Mapmarkers
AFAIK practically all armored vehicles have a radio and should therefore be able to "spot" things, no?
Shouldn't scout vehicles be scouts because of their smaller size and that they are more expendable?

Every vehicle has a radio yes, scout vehicles are just more practical to use for scouting than for example, an MBT.

Re: Vehicles placing Mapmarkers
I think every Armoured vehicle and maybe choppers ( I am not a PR chopper pilot myself so I don't know anything about it) should be able to spot things and scout vehicles/choppers are just faster so they can more easily be used to do scout kind of stuff.
I don't think adding a spot option to armoured vehicle/chopper will suddenly make them scout vehicles.
And the other way around do you want to force the players to use the scout vehicles as scout vehicle by only giving it spot ability and thereby take that ability away from every other vehicle ??

yeah i like that idea . .. since you cant exactly get out request a kit mark then pick ur kit back up get back in and roll away -_- . . you would have to wait between getting officer kits ( APC situation )

It should be an option for every commander view type station. Also scout helicopter should have the same option for the spotter, that why they're called "scouts" right? There's little need to worry about spam as so few people even understand or use the spotting system right now.

I like this. How would it work however to have accurate markers? As in when you have to mark something right now you have to walk in it's direction to place the marker accurately or it will be offset.

Re: Vehicles placing Mapmarkers
This would be great on the scout choppers seeing now they are never actually used to scout. Especially the so called CAS hueys the observer seat is like never used for recon
