bf2 freelook from kestrel

Post by bluehawk112 »

Hey guys, especially the pilots among us, here is the best message of 2011:
kestrel, a real expert in programming, made headtracking possible in bf2 pr without losing control of flight controls!!!!!!!!
Buy a wii remote, download freetrack v. 2.2http://www.free-track.net/english/) and then go to this page to download kestrels phantastic tool bf2 freelook:

FreeTrack Forum - BF2FreeLook - Battlefield 2 view control

For headtracking, I suggest buying a halogen lamp with an IR filter (instead of a lense) which can be fixed to a head band (like a head lamp). Your wii remote works then as a receiver of your head moves.

Kestrel, thanks a 10000000 times for your phantastic work

and just for your info, look at facetracknoir, with that you dont need any lamp, led, or something like that, also works with bf2freelook
;)

The big advantage of using a wii remote for headtracking is : you don?t have any cpu usage.
Taht means, there is no reduction in frame rates.
If you use a web cam or even track-ir, you will have more cpu usage and therefore always less fps
