Mumble isn't working whilst in-game

Hi guys, my mumble recently only seems to work when I alt-tab onto it, otherwise whilst in-game it appears no one can hear me. It has started doing this in the past few days, previously it worked fine.

Any ideas?

I've heard in Windows 7 that there is an automute that happens, on the mixer sound look for a do nothing box and check it.

control panel, sound, click the tab at the top comunications, then check the box do nothing.

Both were already like this, I'm running windows7 just so it helps. I've also put into in administrator mode and compatibility for XP SP3. Yet, earlier it did nothing. I had to alt-tab out of the game to talk which defeats the purpose of mumble.

I'm baffled, but thanks for the suggestions, I do appreciate it. What's the overlay thing I've read about? I'm not a computer software person, is the overlay in which the software works over other applications in use?

Overlay shows you who's talking ala VIOP and TS.

The PR position program is what PRAA.exe check he's OK as admin and not blocked by a firewall.

For info for everyone, if you happen to have USB headset and can't hear anything, go to Options and just click Ok. I have G35 and by doing this, communications come back for some reason.

I also use Win7 x64 and have this happen pretty often, about 1 out of every 4 times I use mumble.
SO far I've been stumped as to what causes it, because,
1. Mumble is still running and I'm connected to the correct channel. When I alt-tab out I can hear people talking. HOwever I usually can't talk in channel until I do the following
2. Mumble overlay stops working correctly
3. Mumble loses my keybinds until I alt-tab and go to options and change the key to a random key then back to my desired key then hit "Apply".
4. Then everything seems to work properly.

As soon as I fix the keybind and return to PR by clicking on the taskbar, the overlay returns to working properly.

I have no clue wtf is going on.
My solution was to buy a new HDD and do a clean install of BF2 and PR last night.
