Yes I'm sure that many people all decided to brake from there somewhat normal routine all at pretty much the same time for no apparent reason what so ever to do some "r/l stuff"UKrealplayER666 wrote:Could be another reason... one you may find hard to grasp so ill let you sit down... they could be playing a game called real life... :O lol

On the Big D server now. There was just a decent round on Burning Sands with the server nearly full. Barracuda comes up and the numbers fall a bit.
But I think the bigger story is that there is not a single player on Mumble. I thought the aussie community embraced using Mumble?

Or, you know we could call it what it is and admit that BigD was an incestuous environment and persistant teamstacking drove most of the new players away for years now. God knows that's why I only ever lasted a few weeks at a time since 08 - easily 2/3 to 3/4 of games are teamstacked whitewashes, and there was never any of the sense of openness that servers like TG had.dtacs wrote:Its been tried over the past few years, numbers have just dropped due to lack of interest which nobody can be blamed for.
Gradually new players are joining, but a decreasing rate since knowledge of PR's existence is fairly low, or those who do know it don't like it.
I'm not having a dig. It's no one person's fault, it just wasn't an environment conducive to keeping new players in. It was the only server that really retained a RTFM or eat flames attitude after PR picked up MOTY, and frankly, if you weren't in one of the big clans, you were setting yourself up for a lot of frustration.

BF3's got great anims great sounds, great engine..... but its the same arcady gameplay that ruins it. PR's got none of the afromentioned- that's why its still great!

Is this the END of PR?
I played last time...
9/14/11 there was about 1,000 people on a day.
I just played...
10/8/11 there is about 300 people on a day.
I don't know but it seams like Tactical Gamer is done with, and also PR it self. EXCEPT PR Arma 2.

Re: Is this the END of PR?
So many people are QQing saying PR is dead.
1. after summer = All kiddies are back in school, not playing PR.
2. People who were playing, are now playing BF3 beta.
People will come back. New releases always have an impact on every other game.

I played yesterday. Sisu server had between 80 and 120 people. All great players. After every round I was all like OMG best round eva. The noobs were busy with BF3.
In the long run the most popular BF2 mod might go the way of the most popular BF1 mod, but ARMA2 PR is coming as well.

Actually, the amount of fail in BF3 is so high that it brings me back to PR.

Others have already, but you know that full well.dtacs wrote:I think you should go post that there.
I'm just not interested enough. I only play PR once every few months for a few days at a time, and then get frustrated by the same **** that annoyed me three years ago in 0.7 and leave. The game really isn't engaging enough to hold me when it's in the context of the BigD community, and my connection is unlikely to be good enough to play on US servers until I move back off base, which for various reasons I can't see happening for at least another year.
So basically, I just like to stick my head into the forums and see what's going on once in a while.

In BF3 beta though... Dam, i can't see BF3 doing GOOD.
