Help PRBF2 Wont load :/

Hey, i was loading into a map on PR when this happens:

Run memtest to check your RAM. Did you re-install PR?

I reinstalled XP and PR and BF2.

Windows is now telling me it has 60 updates. Imma Install

I think its my CPU its old and haggy.

What can i get with this motherboard if i want to buy a new CPU?

I don't see why it should be the CPU giving you that error. Did you run the memtest??...

Did you fully update XP before launching the game? Apparently there's an update: WindowsXP-KB924867-x86-ENU.exe which fixed this issue back in the old days...

Was this your own map you were trying to load? What about the standard maps in PR?

Edit: Also did you try increasing the memory limit on your page file?

The CPU is the oldest hardware in the computer, the Ram and Video card are both recently bought and installed.

It might be a driver problem though.

I shall endevour to find out that.

I did not try to load my own map. I am able to map on this Computer, but it is not related to the crashes.

Sorry to say it Wicca, but I agree with Mahi, it sounds like your RAM modules are starting to produce errors. It happens over time ... I just had to replace mine recently. Try taking out the sticks and reseating them ... sometimes heat may have caused them to loose contact slightly.

Other than that try borrow some new memory to see if its the problem.
