There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

Yeah I sort of agree, 1800Eur seems bit too much for what you have listed though.Steeps5 wrote:That seems a bit expensive for that system.
But don't quote me on that. I don't have a computer available to try and price match that.
Anyways, If you cant wait for Ivy B. (new intel stuff) the 2600k should serve you very well.
The K version means its partly unlocked so you will be able to OC it much further than non K versions.
Now, usualy the i5 2500k is sufficient enough for about anything you might wanna do with it but if you don't mind spending that bit more for the i7 2600K, I'd say go for it, if your not planing on upgrading for years to come.

Honestly, I think buying the best is just waste of money.
(just look at 990X CPU vs 2600k for example)
So unless you planning on quad Crossfire or SLI and OC your CPU to absolute max on liquid nitrogen, its really unnecessary.( IMO as well is quad SLI )
Most likely sufficient enough - Gig UD-3
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprod ... ubcat=1990
I recon saving the money and go for 128 - 256Gb SSD instead...
RAM - hard to justify higher price of 1886Mhz sticks compare to any major brand 1600Mhz offerings, when real difference is just too negligible, temps and latency included...
PSU - overkill, 750W / 850W max will be more than enough and saves you a lot of cash.
(I have Corsair HX 750 and Im pretty happy with it, its silent too)

Re: Upgrade help
not going for nvidia, thats a final, the 6970 is a beastly card that exchanges punches even with the 580, and plus i have lifetime overclocking warranty with xfx
@Beee
stuffs more expensive in croatia unfortunately
i can either get a UD7 or UD5 no UD3
alternately if i got a AMD T1100 which is cheap as hell, and i would be able to get SSD and all that jazz

Re: Upgrade help
Nah dude, I can't really recommend T1100, at least at this time when new toys are about to get released....
That shop is insane lol, how can they sell only UD-5/7's ? You sure you cant shop in different retail? maybe croatia amazon or something?
Either way I'd personally rather get any other brand than pay for those boards lol

Re: Upgrade help
i think you would get more for your money if you got a 120-128GB SSD instead of the i7. Also, the 1000W PSU way overkill unless you plan on putting 2 6970s in there.
I agree that the Gigabyte UD3 (not UD3P) would be a good bet for a mobo.
