Re: Where is everyone? LOL
Here's to a recovery of player numbers. Can't remember them being this low on weekday evenings, but right now the servers are pretty well. It's just a shame that TG activity is low currently.
But I'm sure the rumours of PR's death have been greatly exaggerated. Some were trying PR:A2, lots of people playing BF3, I am sure it will soon go back to the usual levels of activity.

Vewt.
If you have any feedback on the BigD servers take it to their forums. This thread is not an underhanded way of giving negative feedback pls.

TBH the only reason I don't play a lot is because my computer sucks xD I'm sure thats another factor as well. If the majority of this 1000 number was people in school, they might not have the computer to handle all the new things in PR. Mine's straining as it is... but I'm sure BF3 is the main reason.
Lets not rip on Dice just yet though, it's still a BETA and I'm surely curious to see what it'll be like once it's all nice and polished ^_^ the thing is, in our eyes, BF3 is mostly arcade although it's much better than COD, because we are used to a tactical simulator which is what I like to think PR is

Hehe, I've been playing BF3 beta. I started up PR again last night 9pm PST, got into the Finnish 126 person server on Lashkar, but then I really didn't want to walk across the map. Only other choices were H server playing Karbala, H2 Muttrah 24/7, and TG with Kokan Skirmish.mattnett1 wrote:It seems like PR is dieing. Me and 5 others in TG last night were saying that.
For me personally, I played these maps too much recently and have done all of the goof ball pranks I wanted to do (e.g. arty IED blown when cache destroyed, mining insurgent vehicle exits, etc)
It's a really shame there isn't more diversity in map choices and map modes. Iron Eagle is BEAUTIFUL but I've only played it once and it was with 10 people.
I don't get why people love playing Muttrah and Kashan Valley when there are so many other maps unplayed and unloved. I love Kokan but not that much. Sadly, no one else seems to love Lashkar, Korengal, and Archer as much. They are epically beautiful!
Heck, even more skirmish on Korengal would be a huge improvement.

AU Server isn't that popular. I think that American servers are way more popular

It's Australia, it's not like it's the biggest community. Everything will pick back up soon

Re: Where is everyone? LOL
Playing the BF3 open beta actually motivated me to buy old BF2 again (I've lost my first copy of it). It made me realise how badly I missed the old game style; the chain of command between commander and squad leaders, and seeing the team as a "system" rather than a spontane and linear lump of combat. I ranked up and unlocked a load of weapons in it, but I am NOT buying BF3. So, as to what ever it may matter, atleast 'I' am new to PR:BF2 and the only reason I am here at all, is because I disliked BF3 so much. It seemed to me that PR:BF2 was all that BF3 should've been but was not.

You couldve just downloaded BF2 and used your old key by logging in to your EA account.King Six wrote:Playing the BF3 open beta actually motivated me to buy old BF2 again (I've lost my first copy of it). He'd still need a valid CD key, wouldn't he?

Oh but I don't remember that login. That was a long time ago, and I've had several e-mail adresses (and geographical addresses too) since then. Paying less than 10$ for a brand new copy was a bargain deal|TGXV| Kwalc297 wrote:You couldve just downloaded BF2 and used your old key by logging in to your EA account.
Hopefully others will come too to realise that BF3 was total horse-manure, and they will buy BF2 instead and play PR with the rest of us. They ask "if you build it, will they come?". Well, it's built already. So they ought to come any second now...

Not my cup of tea BF3, but it's what the 'masses' want. Shiny graphics, big explosions then after one month the majority put it away.King Six wrote: Hopefully others will come too to realise that BF3 was total horse-manure,
Great for EA, they sell lots but the demand for servers, patches is far reduced in the future.
As long as people buy it that's all that matters to them - long term re-playability is a negative.

Beta is over, so population should return for the next 2 weeks and die down again because of release of BF3 and then after a few weeks players will return back to PR, just got to wait it out, meantime you should be able to get a good round in =]H[= HARDCORE server during U.S. prime time, european prime time, assuie prime time, whatever prime time, usually someone is always on.

Re: Where is everyone? LOL
I think what would draw more people in is a server that ran all maps 24/7. 24/7 muttrah is so boring after like 2 or 3 games. idk what servers run all maps or if there are any. so im just guessing.
