Class limit

my particular hatred of snipers is the fact that iv come to learn that snipers will do nothing to help you win any serious competitve BF player will tell you the key to winning is capping and holding flags, NOT KILLS,, snipers dont help you take flags therefor to me there nothing but an annoyance if i cap a flag i get 2 or 3 more points than the 1 point a sniper gets for a kill, and once i have that flag i know im gonna get more kills as opp will come for the flag

and there wont me much of a role for the scout as the commander has a view of the entire map he doesnt need to have a scout to take spots for him he can use his one spoting system or at least thats how it appears to me from all the videos iv watched

On some maps im sure the kits can be changed for the sniper class just like BFV and we can maybe code it for some maps to have an limited amount of snipers and there should be a ratio for it so 5:1 for every five Infintry soldiers there should be one sniper kit allowed

well unlearn what you learned, the cammander cant see everything thats going on he's only one person. enemy can hide from that top down view. snipers dont just get kills in competiveness play i was a sniper. and would camp a street or a flag to hold the flag, your thinking way to much in the box. your thinking of pub lines and not competitive play, if thats the case that then youve been around alot of retard snipers who thing if they have more kills there better then everyone. my thoughts are if the sniper does hes job and is on the bottom of the list hes better then the person who didnt do hes job caping when he wasnt exposed to ect.

i think the role of the sniper will be much more useful in this because now a sniper is rewarded for guarding a flag. that means, ill probably start a game off by being a sniper capturing a flag, laying a couple claymores (snipers are supposed to have claymores in this right?) finding a good hiding spot, and waiting for an enemy to come by, and take him out. i think thats pretty useful.


one thing that some people need to remember is that this is a realism mod, so it will probably be a big turn off to new players people who just mess around and dont take it seriosuly (at least i hope)

I am very glad to hear that! In FH the sniper is never a spawnable class, instead you come across the kit appropriately placed on the field. Never once have i bitched about snipers on that mod as a result & you are pretty luckly to come across one ingame. Given the realistic nature of the game, unlimited snipers probably wouldnt work too well. You might also end up looking at limiting AT to kit form on various maps too after the first release.

Do sort of what DCR does: Have only a few classes spawnable as (some really basic ones that ar'nt too different from each other) and have the classes that include rarer or harder to qualify for weapons as pickupable kits at the main base, the only base where you can spawn.
