no "repeat" is harder to hear over a radio as it does not broadcast clearly.

Here, 'Repeat' is a fire mission term. You can see what errors can occur from that.

'Bravo this is Alpha, say again your last, over'

Is what you'd say to get the other party to repeat.

Yeah, I have also heard that it is a fire misson term.

But from what I understand it is used when the spotter wants the arty to repeat the last
fire mission.
Keep up the good work DEVs

I usually say "A1 kp1" as Aye One Keypad One, instead of Alpha One Keypad One.

Yeah, seems pretty dumb to me...

I just say it somewhat slowly and clearly. These aren't REAL RADIOS, these are BOOM MICS connected to computers, so radio ettiquette is pointless to a certain degree. I just say "A 12 Key 5" with an emphasis on the first letter to make sure its clearer and louder than the rest like "A 12 Key 5" or "C 9 ... Key 9" where I put a space between to make sure it doesn't sound like im stuttering the same thing over and I emphasize the first letter.

I use "xylophone" for X and "psychiatrist" for P. Just to make it easier for people.

mattnett1 wrote:I realized in PR that like NO ONE uses it. 96% of users DO NOT use it.

I remember it happened when I was mortaring on Fools Road.
This kid said/meant this:
"Hotel Three, Key 6"
It sounded like:
G3 KP 9

My sl placed it... (He didn't know that there was a 'fortress' on it.)
Matty1053 [Teamkills] fkdlasfjl (It said that 10 times at least)
I am aparently the missing 4% that uses it! :)
A way to confirm the possition is to say it, and write it as well!
An underdog may rise to the occacion!

People that get weird about that extra fast syllable in most NATO phonetics are just silly. I'd say 90% of the time you're never going past Juliet in the alphabet and most of the words up to J are two syllables.

When you get in the habit of saying them its just so fast out of your mouth its not even a thought. Whats more even if you kind of garble them more often than not its easily understood as being Charlie or Echo. Single letter sounds are so easy to miss in the midst of garbles and gunfire the slight edge in understanding each other just makes sense.

If you can bear to do a 2 count before firing your M4 then I don't see why an extra syllable will chew up all your time. :D
