Does that mean the round actually landed on the jet mid-flight?
The odds..my god the odds.
Has anyone ever killed an armor vehicle with mortars?

It... it is insanity... hitting a jet in midair with a mortar? We must see battle recorder! Is that even possible?

I think the splash does cause a small bit of damage to the armoured vehicles, which gives them that red-damage-screen.Mikemonster wrote:I always wondered if they harmed tanks and apc's. So it's just a direct hit then?
I used this to huge advantage against strikers, tanks and whatnot during insurgency rounds. I had no intention of killing the armour with my mortars, but without fail it would cause them to move around, and generally enough for them to lose their 'ideal' firing position, and be severely disadvantaged
