Low FPS Vista 64bit

Post by cookoo04 »

HI, I have been having terrible FPS issues even if I put all of my settings on the lowest possible settings. My specs are :
AMD Phenom 8400 Triple Core
Nvidia Geforce 210 512MB
4GB RAM
I know that this isn't the greatest rig, but I have a seperate rig that runs all medium with good FPS.

I play other more demandining games at med-high settings with good FPS. Also, when ever I aim down sights on something like an ACOG my FPS shoots up, but right when I zoom out it drops like crazy.
Help would be appriciated!

Have you tried updating your graphics-card driver?

Yes I have downloaded the most recent driver for my card. Now I'm just going to attempt to re-install PR completely.

Re-installing works too good lol.
If still not done, reinstall the whole BF2 and that.

Same here. Oftentimes my FPS is around 30-40.
When I zoom in it will often shoot up to around 80 to 90.

I would almost blame Vista more than anything. I've noticed (back when I had Vista) that everything performed slower in general than on Windows 7.

THats because the superfetch in Vista was poorly handled compared to Win 7. Superfetch is a program that determines how memory is cached and stuff.
