Blind or is a monitor issue ??

Post by UTurista »

Currently I need to be glued to the screen to see the targets and at the same time I see pkm's shotting to targets far far far away; another example is my fire-team already killed the targets and I'm suppressing a tree;

So am I blind or I is a monitor issue?

I currently play on a 14" monitor (laptop) 1366x768.

By the way what's the Maximum definition supported by the game?
Being the Definition the setting we change in main menu and Resolution the settings we change in desktop.
And if is a monitor issue a 19' is enough?

I must say, if you're playing on a 14" monitor, I understand that you've having issues with seeing enemies.
A 19" monitor should be enough.

lol 14 INCH???

Is it a netbook? ...wait, you have a netbook that plays BF2? and it supports PR?...wait you met godzilla!?

Okay...seriously. You should try to get a monitor thats bigger. If your in college, se if they are disposing of last years monitors and componants, or try going to your local recycling center, if you have one close by. Or just buy one.

14 inches isn't meant for gaming dude! You will have eye problems if you keep playing on that laptop.

yap that was my thinking but what kind of resolution do you play on?

In theory just 7 more days until new rig (with proper monitor)

Currently on 1280x1024 because my monitor isn't widescreen. Will soon upgrade it to something bigger.

But that monitor size (well, I used to play 1024x768 and it was fine too) works well!
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

currently playing on 1366x768 15" laptop, for PR:BF2 about ok, but in Arma i cant see shit w/o scope. Planning on buying a HD screen in future. Its all about resolution for me though, I think a HD 15" would be ok, too.

Monitor issue.

Beforfe my PC fried, I was playing PR with 22" screen. I could use ironsighted weapons even for long engagements and my situational awareness was a lot better. Compared to the situation I'm in now.
Now I'm playing PR on a ASUS e732g "gaming" laptop (15", 1366x768; PR runs smoothly with everything low/medium; fps never drops lower than 25-30). But now also this laptop fried (it has something to do with a glass of water near the laptop; when I woke up, the glass was on the floor, empty, near the laptop).
Yeah, playing on a 15" is a bit harder. It's smart to notify your squadmates about this so you don't have to, for example, gun a technical or use some other emplacemuent with out zoom. When playing on a 15" I usually try to stick with scoped weapons. Or I stick to squadleading (and micromanage the s*** out of my squad, keke, so they kill our enemies, not me).

I know how you feel and i don't think its all monitor related. When i play BF3 i can barely see anyone i usually just try to shoot whoever was spotted.

I think its because: 1, I'm colorblind, 2 everything moves, 3 lots of details. It gets hard to pick a player out all of that. It does help to be hyper though.

I must say a 24" is quite perfect. Check out komplett.no. A lot of cheap monitors there.

22" 1680x1050

I could go to my 50" hdtv, but I think it gets the job done and the immersion is better on my 22".
