Anyone unable to connect to mumble?

Downloaded the new mumble a few days ago and it connected fine and works GREAT. Big thanks to everyone involved in getting it up and out, very nice work.

Now in the past few days I've had my DSL switched from one provider (AT&T) to another company that leases the line and uses their own servers. It's within this switch period that I've been unable to connect.

I've went into my firewall setting and made the necessary switches to any ports but I'm still unable to connect.

I keep getting this message :

[2:45:00 PM] Opening URL mumble://mumble.realitymod.com:64739/?version=1.2.0
[2:45:01 PM] Connecting to server mumble.realitymod.com.
[2:45:31 PM] Server connection failed: Connection timed out.
[2:45:41 PM] Reconnecting.
[2:46:11 PM] Server connection failed: Connection timed out.
[2:46:21 PM] Reconnecting.

Any ideas to help troubleshoot this issue?

Maybe try to run as admin

Try to turn off your firewall completely and see if you can connect then.
If that doesn't work, try to restart your router.

Reinstall, allow all connections through firewall.


Again, run as admin. If that doesn't work, maybe call your ISP.

Thanks for the replies.

I do have it set to run as admin and reset my modem last night to resync when I was having a connection issue.

I'll temporarily turn off the firewall and see if it connects then ....

Even completely turning off the firewall doesn't connect -_-

Anything else I can try?

I will give the ISP a call tomorrow also if I can't figure it out by then ....

Be warned, by calling the ISP they usually give you very little advice. Most times they will say to call mumble's tech support (which isn't in existence afaik )

Make sure your mumble is pointed to the right IP?


Also have you tried re-installing?

All is well, all of a sudden it just connects no problems.

Now I can mic-rage again!!!
