As 40mm said, never seen anyone complaining about the slugs the british get in their specialist.Tarranauha200 wrote:Breaching slugs=civi blasting sniper?

Oh lord, the slugs. Nothing better then shooting those in the face of a civi that is taunting you from a distance.

Re: ACOG for Rifleman Specialist
If anything it will decrease the effectiveness, as people with scoped rifles tend to think that they are better at shooting from distances even though the deviation and accuracy isn't any different than the irons version. The only differences is that with irons you know you have to get close, thus increasing it's kill ability.Hunt3r wrote:IRL a single MG can pin down entire squads of people, no one cries about how they're OP.
It's not as if an ACOG will magically increase the effectiveness of a single rifle, you still have to close with the enemy to get reliable kills.

It does however allow guaranteed kills from longer range than ironsights, which is what the reference to Ninja Marksman was about.
You can headshot someone with an Optical sight from almost twice the distance perhaps that you can with irons.
So yes, the guns are as accurate as each other, but the one with the zoomed scope does not require you to do CQB for a kill. You could just ninja around the enemy, headshotting a new one each time.

See that's the common mistake I just described. It's not that, It doesn't guarantee anything since the deviation is the same. The only guarantee is that the closer you are to an enemy the bigger the chance that your bullet hits. Besides, it's possible to be just as good a shot with ironsights over long distance as it is with the scoped rifles. The scopes just make the long shots easier but they make CQB so absolutely horrible (except for the G36 Scoped) that the cons outweigh the pros imho.Mikemonster wrote:It does however allow guaranteed kills from longer range than ironsights, which is what the reference to Ninja Marksman was about.
