Mumble doesn't stay connected

I don't know how where to put this.

Problem: I can't connect to the new mumble server. And yes I'm running pr mumble 1.0 as admin.

I'm not loosing network connection (i'm pinging a server the entire time and packet loss is 0).
I've talked to others and they stay connected the entire time, no problems what so ever.

What can I do?

I can not play in PR becouse no boby in old mumble. I can not join in squad channel but admin warning me "i am not in mumble"

Run it in compatibility mode for XP and check your network. Try decreasing the output quality.

Still not work. wtf? how many ppl have it problem? maybe need test be4 run it for all players. It beta version why i can not use old mumble? Maybe they who make it version try help ppl like me?

You might find some tricks there.

I heard from a lot of people that had problems but everybody was able to fix it.
Mostly due to missing admin rights or removing the vanilla start up movies.

Otherwise leave me a message on xfire (bloodydeed), I'm sure we will find a solution.

In short: Reboot fixed it for me.

After I posted this:
I had closed mumble. Suddenly I heard people talking. Some how mumble didn't stop running. Using task manager i confirmed that process was gone. But it kept on running. So when I then started mumble and connected I had two mumble clients on the same machine running wanting to connect to the same mumble server. That is why it kept logging on and off. Since when one logged on the other disconnected and auto reconnected, then the first disconnected and it was a full circle. A reboot fixed it for me.

Hi Himalde,

If you don't want to run more than one mumble client at a time you can edit the desktop icon. Remove "-m" command line switch. I wouldn't do this until you have the problem repeat itself a few times.

NO idea is it was a one time glitch or not, how often do you reboot your PC?

Right now the PRMummble shortcut is something like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\PR Mumble\pr_mumble.exe" mumble://mumble.realitymod.com:64739/?version=1.2.0 -m
Change it to this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\PR Mumble\pr_mumble.exe" mumble://mumble.realitymod.com:64739/?version=1.2.0

This was a glitch, and now I know what to do if it happens again. I had rebooted my computer that day. But I had opened and closed mumble several times.

When I check my log now, I often see other people logging on and off just like I did. So this must be a pretty common problem.

So the lesson is: never underestimate the power of a reboot
