We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
Vid of a great round on Fools Road a couple of nights ago.
Tried to include some sort of AAR.
I started the round by taking my squad to set up a firebase to the north of the flags in play followed by a move to the east in an attempt to come up behind the British main force. I then pulled my squad south and then west to Hill 133 where we encountered one or two British soldiers which we quickly neutralized. The rest of the Militia team were having a pretty hard time capping Hill 93 and so I pulled my squad west to come up behind the attacking British force. We managed to find a high position, overlooking the railyard that was being used as a staging ground for the British assault on 93. I ordered my marksman and grenadier only to engage targets and made clear that no one else was to open fire unless we had been spotted. This ended up working extremely well in our favor as the British had absolutely no idea where we were for 5-10 minutes and as a result we managed to take a lot of them out. Once we were spotted, we were engaged by a SAW so I ordered the immediate withdrawal of my men back to Hill 133 as if we had stayed there much longer we would have been easily wiped out. By the time we had reached Hill 133 the rest of our team had managed to capture Hill 93 and so we began the capture of 133. However the remaining British forces at the railyard had followed us and we came under heavy fire from them. I again ordered my marksman and grenadier to engage these threats as they were at a distance and had the rest of the squad cover towards Dylym in case we were flanked. We managed to destroy the British squad, hold the hill and capture the CP, by which time one or two other squads were already in Dylym. Just as Dylym was about to go neutral the server crashed....... Seems a shame to end such a lengthy AAR with that sentence but there is nothing else to it. A great round which I thoroughly enjoyed, just a shame the server crashed. A big shout out to Bloodace and ICEMAN as they were a superb marksman and grenadier tandem team and the rest of the squad for covering them.
