26th MEU (North America)

Post by Stoickk »

This is the official feedback thread for all 26th MEU Project Reality servers including 26th MEU Manhattan Killhouse, 26th MEU Coop, and 26th MEU Project Normandy. Any and all feedback and constructive criticism is welcome. Players and members of the PR community are also encouraged to contact us directly at http://26meu.us to resolve any issues, for clarification of server rules, of for any other reason pertaining to our public servers.

Server Name:
26th MEU Manhattan Killhouse
26th MEU Project Normandy
26th MEU COOP

Server Size:
All servers are 64 slots

Server Location:
New York, NY, USA

Map Rotation:
We generally run a rotation of two Insurgency maps two to one AAS map, however are more than willing to adjust maps based on the desires of the current server population at any given time. The reason that we run this rotation is to ensure that the same team is not stuck playing the same side (BluFor or Insurgents) on every Insurgency map as generally happens on a 1:1 ratio of Insurgency to AAS maps in the rotation.

Server Admin(s):
Maj. J. Smith - xfire: ranger3bn
Capt. R. Turoczi - xfire: 2ltevers
1stLt. B. Whiskey - xfire: mkansas73
MGySgt J. Thomas - xfire: stoickk

Smart Balance:
Enabled at two players usually, however can be modified depending on population and situation.

Battlerecorder:
Enabled

BF2 VOIP:
Enabled

Ban list:

PBBans

Server Rules:
In game Admin decisions are final. Any appeals or discussions are to be conducted on the 26th MEU's forums. In game argument, appeals, or discussions of Admin decisions are grounds for removal from the server.

Disrespect of Admins will not be tolerated. If you are given instructions by an Admin, follow those instructions or risk removal from the server.

Disrespect of your fellow gamers will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive profanity, excessive vulgarity, racist and other inflammatory language and account names. If you are concerned about your account name, change it. Violation of this rule can result in a permanent ban from our server.

THE 26TH MARINE EXPEDITIONARY UNIT HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON DISHONEST GAMEPLAY. Any player found cheating, ghosting, abusing glitches or other game mechanics, or otherwise engaging in dishonest gameplay will be permanently banned from our servers. In addition the offending player's account name, IP, and any other information we have will be publicly posted in our forums and passed along to allied clans so that as many other people as possible can be warned of their dishonest conduct.

Do not intentionally team-wound or team-kill, or force someone else to team kill you. There is absolutely no acceptable reason that you can give our Admins to justify an intentional TK or force TK. You will be removed from the server.

Do not punish for accidental team-kills, including marked mines and grenade traps. Accidents happen.

Do not waste team assets. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to fly without the necessary skill, abandoning vehicles in the field, attempting to operate ground vehicles without the necessary skill, and operating assets in a manner other than their intended use.

Follow orders from your Squad Leader and Commander. Continued failure to follow orders can result in your removal from the server.

Do not make any squads or apply for the Commander position before the 2:00 mark on the countdown timer prior to the round starting.

Do not take a vehicle that is in use by another squad without permission from that squad's Squad Leader or direct orders from the Commander. Vehicles are considered "in use" once they have left main.

Do not fire into or out of any dome of death protected area, especially main bases, at any time. These areas are not combat zones. Keep the combat away from them. However, if you are in an aircraft and have an enemy missile lock or are being attacked by another aircraft, do not attempt to land to escape. You can and will be shot down.

In AAS mode with capturable main bases, do not fire into or out of any main base unless that main base is currently in play (marked with an orange or purple objective marker) and you are actively attacking or defending that objective.

Operate vehicles in the manner intended. Excessive intentional ramming or roadkilling is unacceptable and will result in your removal from the server. Repeated offenses may result in a permanent ban from our server.

All squads must be named specifically for their role or asset. Once a squad has been created for an asset from the Reserved Assets List, no duplicate squads may be created for that asset.

No suicide assets or assets from the Reserved Assets List may be used prior to 14v14, with the exception of transport helicopters and the Sniper kit.

All assets on the Reserved Assets List must be properly crewed prior to leaving main. Soloing a vehicle out of main to pick up an additional crew member is not acceptable. See the Reserved Assets List for Crew Requirements.

We appreciate the feedback, keep it coming.

I do apologize on behalf of the 26th MEU for the stability issue. We are working with our hosting company to resolve the problem. If the hosting company is unable to provide a stable platform for our servers, we are actively considering changing hosts.
