TrackIR for pilots

i have seen this tech. advertised and used in such games as arma2. i have also seen someone mod it into PR(or so they said). there is also this vid:

with no outside view of helo, i can see this as greatly helpful wen landing on hills or other tight spots.

I mean we can land our transhelo by practicing.

This has been discussed for years, and the video you mentioned was uploaded by a PR DEV in 2009.

There will be a time when this feature will come, you just have to be patient.

Please search before you make a post, there are many threads on this topic as well.

yeah this is definitely a RE Discussion. try using the search tool. plus you dont need to buy track IR... download free Face track noir and Bf2 free look programs and you can set up your comptuer so that you can run the track IR program through your web camera. bingo

You can currently use head tracking as a pilot in PR by using the BF2 Freelook application. It passes through Punkbuster and allows the user to look around the cockpit without losing control of the aircraft.

i play flight sims, and let me tell you that coming to fly in PR is really coutner intuitive. having track ir, would shurely help alot.

there is a problem wit hlatest trakc ir version tough, every time i do Flight simming, and then PR, my PR crashed, eventually i found out the culprit was track ir. track ir 5 + PR = crash, on my system.

PR is likely not going to get it for BF2, but I think you can expect PR ARMA 2 to have it, and definitely PR2, if a certain dev is working on it...

I used FaceTrackNoIR 1.6, Face API and BF2FreeLook.. Works nice, but laggy on my laptop. On good system there shouldnt be a problem. Altough it did not allow you to look up or down, just slightly, maybe its because of .ini file from that youtube vid. i took from.

yes. facetracknoIR works with pretty much any decent camera on a decent PC and u need nothing else. bing it or something
