Keep mind that some of our admins do some ingame testing. However they are mostly playing inf so they are not conflicting with the actual gameplay. So if you see some olut guys spamming ropes or something other (weird stuff) dont be alarmed.
We are sorry if you are feeling unconfortable with this. It should not happen too much tho.
Edit. Other than this admins are also enforced to be in mumble. So feel free to remind em like other players.

There is no need to blame any squad leaders when we are playing on test servers. Maybe they didnt hear you at all because technical issues?
Last evening there was some mumble issues.
Mumble sound was very unclear in some points (sounds like voip packetloss) and sometimes you couldnt hear anything what someone said.
I dont know if this was issue of mumble server software, hardware or bandwidth?
Did other servers had any issues last evening or was it only one channel (Sisu) where was +100 players?
There is no need to open any more threads for Sisu server testings.
If you experienced any issues on Sisu server, please leave feedback to this thread or at sisu.kompassi.com -forums.
There is also other +64 player server tests (Linux 32bit, Windows).
DO NOT leave feedback of these servers in this thread. This is only for Linux 64bit Sisu server testing.
Sisu server has always "Sisu" somewhere in its name. Server name can also include name of our supporter who make these long run tests possible.
for me 128 players are best in 4 km maps.
in 2 km maps its just too much action everywhere, sometimes even chaotic.
and disable ingame voip for next test.

Good point. Mumble got distorted from time to time. I have experienced that so far only during the map change when all players are in one channel. I'd guess its due to the huge number of players being in one channel, thus overloading it.
Lowering the quality of sound a little bit might improve it....

+1!!!
I think many of us (myself included) are still getting used to the new mumble. Have patience with us if we happen to talk to all squad leaders regarding one squad moving in or when lasing targets.
Looking forward to getting some awesome massive games in!!

Make sure new PR Mumble is set to be "run as Admin" in shortcut.
If you are using "vanilla" Mumble in the same time, add "-m" to its command line ("Target") in shortcut.
Start new PR Mumble before starting the game.
Start new PR Mumble first if you use the old PR one or "vanilla" Mumble in the same time.
"Configure" -> "Settings" -> "Overlay", verify that "Enable Overlay" is checked. Check the "Overlay exeptions" just to be sure bf2.exe is not there and add programs in which you don't want overlay to be shown.
Make overlay look like you fancy with mouse wheel and right button options over the red dot in right top corner (default).
I tested this using:
1. New PR Mumble
2. Old PR Mumble
3. Murosquadi's Mumble 1.2.3
4. Teamspeak
started them in listed order. And overlay works like a charm...

In addition, run mumble before you start PR, otherwise overlay won't emerge
We are trying to fix reserved slots system in +64 player server.
Sometimes server could give a message that you cant join even there should be public slots free.
Go to sisu.kompassi.com and type in chatbox (right side) that you are having issues and it should be sorted out pretty fast.
This is one of issues which are very nasty to test and we need your help to fill up server.

i was one of the not responding ones because mumble was breaking up really bad for me. other than that the new mumble feels REALLy good. hope it works better today, so people dont have to get annoyed at me for reasons beyond my influence. good games to y all
I'm having a problem with this kick first ask no questions policy. Its extremely aggravating to be booted for having foolish pedestrians walking into my vehicle, have them report me, and then receive and instant kick. No questions asked, No warning, nothing. I appreciate the challenges presented by policing over 100 players, but there is no excuse for this. Especially when admins and pubbers are constantly screaming into the mumble during loading and they are never penalized.
What's worse is I am not a troll, a griefer or any other popular term for clownasses. Receiving insta-kicks for ridiculous reasons like this is going to make me have a name. I do not deserve to be on the shitlist. Its impossible to investigate every problem someone may have, but theres a simple way to catch trolls. Kick repeat offenders. If you kick right off the bat, especially on the first 30 seconds of the map (which is full of lag anyway, so teamroadkills are common) your going to lose alot of respect.
I enter the server with respect to all players. I expect that same respect back. This is a two way road.
thank you.

The following people have dedicated time and a maplist for each day. With mumble enforced and teamwork we can make this a really special treat for everyone who plays on the PRTA servers!
We will use the new maps and the old as we try to give you players the best we can to make you think of other things than stressing in the christmas and dealing with your annoying family.

I know what you are referring to Hunter and I assure you I'm already addressing that problem. Its just some people (as basically everyone has admin rights within PRTA) uses them as very own privilege instead to contribute to the greater good of the whole server.
Nonetheless, keep your tone, especially on the team/global chat, in a civilized and appropriate from.

I agree with you completely my canadian friend whom i just made. I believe one of the reason is that PRTA seems to have more than alabamas populations worth of admins.
which is somewhere around 189 i believe.
Money should not govern our every action. Edited for your viewing pleasure by request made by Dux.
I think it should be stressed that being an admin is not a privilege, a right, or an award. Its an appointment. You are the police of the server. You are expected to uphold decency. As you said brainlaag; "[they use their powers] as very own privilege instead to contribute to the greater good of the whole server." I fear admins are becoming a country club of sorts. People becoming admins through the "good ol' boys" system. I don't think thats right, nor should it degenerate to that. It is not required to have 50 admins on a server. Nor should people be getting booted because your good ol' buddy mr. so-n-so says "hey that guy is bein a jerk!" Never forget that roughly 70-80% of the teamkills or disputes on a server can be figured out by just asking "Hey! What happened there?"
The number of players on a server does not equate to a "no warnings, no second chances, no questions asked policy" I've heard that excuse two days in a row now, and that is inexcusable. Just because there are 116 players does not mean problems are cropping up left, right, and centre! I wonder just how many other people have been treated the same way. We are all adults here, and the one's who are not need to be shown an example of how to act, or the fat must be cut. Authority may need to be respected, but authority needs to respect those they govern.
Perhaps a charter for all sisu admins should be drafted, and required to be read and signed by all present and future administrators. If that has already been done, it should be revised and/or redouble the efforts to enforce it. Such as suspensions or complete revocation of powers to the person(s) in question. We demand quality in our admins, not quantity.
I mean in no way to paint every single admin, but I believe there are a few shitbirds who've left a steamer in the nest, and it needs to be sorted. I've never been one to post complaints, I tend to deal with problem causers by kicking them from my squad, or if its a problem with the authorities that be, I change servers, or take a break. But I just felt that this had to be said, I've seen it happen with other players aswell, and I don't think its fair to anyone.
Thankyou.

Reason:missing word from first paragraph
