mumble does not connect to pr2?

when i start mumble and pr mumble just doesnt work.
when i run mumble as admin and try to start pr2 or bf2 it just wont start.
when i start pr and then mumble it gives me this error: GlobalShortcutWin: Failed to create d8input.

any tips? thanks

your problem is pr 2 doesnt exist yet unless i am missing something

try re installing mumble also it could be a punk buster problem

Start mumble with admin rights.
Then start PR with admin rights.

Are you using new PR mumble client? You can get it here.

Best for you would be to uninstall all versions of mumble and reinstall with the one I gave you. Since you're running it on Win XP I guess there is no need to run it as admin just make sure you go trough setup wizard and set everything right.

By pr2 i ment pr indeed. when typing i was allready thinking i should also mention default bf2 doest work either so the 2 slipped into my mind.

I do have the right mumble version (Mumble (PR edition)). I installed it right together with PR. I also uninstalled it and downloaded and installed it from this site again but that dident change anything.

I also tried to run both programs as admin but that dident work either. When i start mumble as an admin and try to start pr or bf2 as an admin or just regular it just wont start. It shows me the pr loading screen then the screen goes black and flashes back to desktop without giving any error message. I googled this and i found out it was a common bf2 problem wich is being caused by different problems wich was mumble in my case.

I forgot to mention i am amble to both start them regular (not as admin) but then mumble keeps failing to connect to the server.

Yes i have frameworks 3.5 installed.

Could it be because of punk buster like rushn says? Because my pb works just fine with pr and i got it updated aswell.

Seems like a global problem, tr googling that error and see what you will get. It says its conflicting probably with some other software or hardware.

Have you tried updating DX? It is somehow related to d8 input devices, so either directX is problem or some of your devices or drivers. This one is really hard to fix, as google is swarmed with this issue and I haven't seen solution yet. Its not just bf2, and pr, lots of other games are affected.

hey thanks for ur help but i allready fixed this issue. someone told me he had the same problem and told me to google for the 1.0.0beta version. i did this and it works!

seems like i was running 1.1.8 before. downloaded & installed it together with pr and re-downloaded & installed the same version from this forum..
