New TV/Monitor, Need helping buying

Hello.

I need some help buying a new TV/Monitor.
I have a good TV currently, but for gaming, on Xbox, it sucks. It feels to slow, and the sensitivity in games doesnt help, it just makes it too fast or too slow.

Basically, all I need is, 32" LCD, with at least 2 HDMI ports, a composite, and tons of fun

Here is what I am looking at, so far from what I've read its the best for what I need.

I can only recommend Samsungs, they're the only TVs I buy.

Looks awesome. The newest LED tvs from Samsung have amazing picture quality. Of course this is the lower version (the higher ones cost a lot more) But it still has pretty much the same screen, although a larger bezel, different design. But for now its a great screen for the price. If not this model, look at:

But as always with televisions, I suggest visiting a store before buying it (or even visiting a store to buy it). I know many stores in the UK will price match almost anyone, so if you find it cheap on the internet and know that a store near you sells it too, ask in store, it becomes much much more convenient to you if (touch wood*) anything were to go wrong with it.

Yeah I've never heard of those Samsung model numbers here in the US.

Personally I will recommend looking at a 32" LCD (non-LED) television as you are hoping for budget. There should be a number of clearances online on sites such as Tigerdirect.com and Newegg.com thanks to extra stock they want to get rid of after holidays.

Avoid the cheap brands such as Dynex, Vizio, or Panasonic. Try to find something you like in the brands of Samsung, LG, or Sony, but only if you find a deal (which isn't difficult right after the holidays).

Actually, Panasonic makes some of the best plasma TV's, and Vizio isn't bad. I'd consider Panasonic above LG and Sony, however I can't say where they stand with LCD's and LED's.

Ahh ok, best keep to the US sites , and the phrase is 100% touch wood here in the UK, I know phrases are different here to the US, E.G, Petrol heads here, are gear heads? or piston heads? in the US or something similar .

Possibly a little pricey, but is a decent television, with all your requirements. Also dynamic backlights are good for contrast .

Panasonic - 32" Class / LED / 1080p / 60Hz / HDTV - TC-L32E3
A little cheaper and possibly more features.

But as I said before, always best to actually see the televisions in person and choose between which looks the best, and how much . If possible ask the store guys to play the same footage on both (if they are not already doing so).

I went with that Sony Bravia Pedz.

My God. It looks nice. Hard to use as a monitor a little. But adjusting will take time, im going to try out some Xbox now. Will post back once completed

*edit* The issues are gone, it will take a little bit to adjust, but buying this TV was a good decision.

The TV in Canada at futureshop goes for 599 regular list price.
Today I got it for 580, only because I made a mistake taking my mother with me, I left her for two seconds and she bought the 80 dollar " extra" warranty without me knowing. There goes my next paycheck

Remember that dedicated TV's have built in upgrading software, which while making standard TV look better it has an adverse effect on computer games - i.e. the refresh rate is much slower which can cause a blurring effect. If you not interested in having a TV tuner, then suggest getting a dedicated monitor as this will normally have a 2 or 5ms refresh rate compared to 8 or 10ms for a TV.

Heh, it always bugs me how different this country has to be from everyone else. You could say I'm not patriotic... in fact, I plan to move to Canada as soon as I can! I honestly hate living here.

Im selling both of my Samsung PC Monitors to get 1 Samsung TV for my room and use that for everything, save me having 3 screens in my room
