Mouse stops working when map/game is loaded.

I can't seem to get a response from my mouse once the map is loaded. The map screen is present and I need to pick a point to spawn from but my mouse will not work. I have unpluged it and plugged it backin, reinstalled .973 but no success. I read that another user had a simular experience but nobody posted a solution and I couldnt find the post again.

I am using xp in bootcamp on a mac pro tower.
