Audio Issues

Post by Slippery-Q »

This has only started happening recently, and I cannot figure out why.

Whenever I boot up Project Reality, the audio works fine. I can hear everything perfectly. However, when I join a server (any), it seems to take a turn for the worst. I cannot hear other players talk when I join a squad. This is a crucial part of the game play, and it is prohibiting me from enjoying this game. I find this odd too, because I can hear everything else in-game, they can even hear ME talk, but I cannot hear them. I have gone to the audio options and increased the microphone input on their part to the max, but it didn't prevail. I am not running Mumble in the backround, nor any other media program. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated; I really want to start playing this again. Also, I think it should be brought to your attention that I am playing the game through BF2 that I installed via Steam.

Thank you.

You're not using the Logitech G35 headset by any chance, are you?

Yea, play with your sound card set-up. This happened to me because I had selected 5.1 stereo but my center speaker was disabled... thus everything that should have come through my center speaker (like voip speech) wasn't coming through at all. So just play around with it and make sure everything is set the same way.

No sir, just using a pair of dinky little head phones I acquired with my cell phone.

'Limeni[BiH wrote:;1712443']Set your audio settings to stereo.
Will try that! Thank you!
