Server joining crash

hi.
i have a problem.
when i join a server the game crashes.
i have the steam version so i had to fix with that .exe, but i can't join any server.
any help?

Can you play vanilla BF2 fine? Do your run PR as administrator?

Post your system specification with OS version.

Well why are you running Win7 64bit and you have only 2gb of ram? Your system is not working as it should without those 2 missing gigs. Upgrade as soon as possible.

As for your problem you still didn't say are you able to run BF2 normally? Anyway Id suggest you lower your video settings, textures especially since they draw a lot of ram memory. If that does not help then delete your profile directory in Libraries-My Documents-Battlefield2

Once you delete all that run BF2 once, customize your settings, retrieve your accounts, and join some server to optimize shaders. Once done, close it and start PR as administrator. If you fail to do so, you will not resolve your issue. Once you do all that post back and well see what happens.

Yeah, 2GB of RAM really isn't enough. Windows uses that much just to run.

I am on XP and have the same problem on new big maps on C2D 2400Mh procesor and 2G ram. Dont want to give up graphic settings on i5 4G ram works fine
