Transport + ammo techi, insurgent driver kit

Simple suggestion which goes with a recent notion of improving the insurgency game mode all around. Basically what can happen in insurgency is that people often are forced to walk long distance to objectives, etc. due to lack of dedicated trans and fob builders, unlike the BLUFOR who regularly have dedicated trans helis and apc squads. This is a bit of a problem as it can lead to totally spread out and unfocused insurgent teams. Another problem is that people use the ammo techis too often for transport. With ammo and trans on call people are more likely to be near caches, not stuck in main, and to use mortars.

What im suggestion is that the taliban, insurgents and hamas get their own "driver" kits (selected as crewman for taliban) and that a redone ammo techi can only be driven with that kit equipped.

The ammo techi should be able to hold as much as ammo as it can in its present form, and hold 8 people (7+driver). This would solve the problem of lack of trans and using ammo techis for trans.

This actually used to be in game. I called it the Insurgent APC since it carried 8, it also flipped constantly since the suspension was really sensitive.

I personally don't see the validity in this. Dependent on server, I've seen the ammo techies used for A-B transport only a handful of times, its just not that much of an issue. And holding 8 people although realistic (with many countries seen having some 20 people on the Hilux's) isn't really that logical when civilian cars already have the ability to hold a full squad. This isn't taking into consideration the bikes which spawn every 5 minutes and are a dime a dozen.

And the driver kit seems silly, if all these driver kits have been picked up and taken out of the main and there are free vehicles, why should the Insurgents have to wait for the kit to be bought back/to respawn in order to use the vehicle?

Insurgent transport options aren't that bad at the moment. The issue with Insurgency isn't the logistics of the Insurgent faction, its the overwhelmingly unrealistic and imbalanced gamemode.

i dont fully remember the insergent Apc kit .. but i believe it ... i think that having a Driver kit would be Irrelevant since all you would have to do is request a kit then your on your way... BUT .. on the other hand .. having Only Officers and CIVIES drive .. that's a WHOLE other ball game ... that could 100% improve game play within the insurgency keeping Squads together and promoting the use of Civilians

Now Just bring back the Green Shirts and red Nikes and we've got our selves a party.

Only let SL's and Civvies drive the Ins vehicles.. Or something along those lines.

The way the vehicles are wasted by impatient idiots on Ins is frustrating and ruins immersion for me, anything that helps that is a bonus in my opinion.

The insurgent team has more vehicles than any other layer in PR. Plus the insurgents can build hideouts without crates. There's really no excuse, except lack of planning and teamwork.

I really can't see this being implemented to any success in-game, plus I've never been on an insurgent team where trans isn't readily available for everyone. No need to change anything.

so what do you do if you are a sapper planting mines on your own witht he ammo techy?

No Im afraid crewman would be silly indeed for opfor teams. Crewman is dedicated, armored vehicle operator and as such does not belong in these factions. And on top of that it wouldn't change gameplay to better, it only might make it more complicated. Although allowing only civilian and cell leader to drive is a whole different thing. It might work and it should be discussed.

Such ideas makes PR silly and boring.
BLUFOR lovers - go play singleplayer,this is multiplayer game,they should be interesting for both sides.Insurgents - worst faction in this "game" and you will make it worse.
Fully disagree.
Also - you know around 100 man leave to play PR since 0.9,because this is become much boring every new version.

You'd have to join the SAPPER squad instead of hogging a single asset and taking it into harm's way/middle of nowhere.
