[0973] Mouse does not respond when after map has been loaded and ready to spawn.

Post by rantx »

On [0973] my computer stops responding to the mouse when a map has loaded and I am ready to chose a spawn point.
I have disconnected the mouse and reinserted it with no success. The mouse works when I am selecting a server to play on but not when the map has loaded.

I have reinstalled 0973 but still not succss.
I using xp.

There has been posting with a simular issue but not in the bugs section. At some point I will install it on my laptop (win 7).

Thanks

I think it's something really simple like hitting caps lock or tab keys.

Does this problem occur in vBF2?

Try resetting controls to default and try a different mouse. If that wont work you can delete profile directory which is Libraries > My Documents > Battlefield 2 ( for Windows 7 )

Once you delete it run vanilla BF2 so it can create new profile, retrieve your accounts, customize settings, and join multiplayer game once. When done shut it down and run PR as administrator. If you have multicore processor you can alt+tab to desktop and open task manager ( Alt+Ctrl+Del ) and find BF2.exe in processes tab, right click it and choose affinity...tick only one core.
