Cannot install PR with Steam version. (BF2 won't update.)

Hey guys, apologies if this is being posted in the wrong section. I hope it will be an easy fix.

As mentioned in the thread, I own BF2 on Steam. When I attempt to install PR it gives me the following message;

'BF 1.5 has not been installed.

Please ensure you have installed Battlefield 2 1.41, then Battlefield 2 1.5 before installing...'

Since, as aforementioned, I own the game on Steam, I'm not sure why it's not updating automatically. Anything I can do to update/fix this?

I litterally just installed bf2 over steam yesterday and installed pr

go to your steam>bf2>Properties, and on the updates tab does it say "Allways keep this game up to date"?
If not, Select that option. If it is, click on the local files tab and click the one saying "Verify Integrety of Game Cache"

If those dont work... I guess the next step would be to uninstall and reinstall bf2.

Also try running BF2 vanilla so the game has an opportunity to set itself up. Sometimes that helps.
