Black Gold
I just wanna say that this map is great... For me it's the Kashan Desert upgrade I've been dreaming of for a good while now. Excellent work!!!
Chinese do seem to win 80% of the times though. Can't figure out why...

Only thing that's missing are two-seaters (bombers) to have even more fun in a jet together (dropping laser/tv-guided mombs/missiles) ^^

Yeah I guess so... It doesn't need to be a perfect 50/50 anyway...Spyker2041 wrote:If anything I have always noticed the opposite so probably its fine.

Re: Black Gold
China does have an advantage with the J10(>MiG), thermal APCs and their HAT.
Depending on the flag layout, the map is pretty infantry friendly though. Tanks can't do much if the city is in play, or when the central hill is. View range is pretty epic.
Overall a very solid map.

Re: Black Gold
View range is a total mindfuck, it honestly revamps the way the game is played since infantry movements through open terrain are double as dangerous. My squad walked a kilometer through open desert from Control Facility to Hilltop Fort and its a miracle we weren't killed.
It does make FAC very fun though, I had a ball painting numerous APC's and having them taken out quicksmart.
Only issue is, since you can see further, the SL radio can't spot far enough due to the 1300m maximum range.

1. i wonder why it's called "2nd kashan" (mb for yellow sand color?).
2. frequent ctd (out of memory).
3. freezes despite average fps ~30-40, especially when lookin in the direction of city.

1. Both maps are the same size (4km^2). BOth maps focuse on combined arms combat- infantry, APC's, tanks, choppers, bla bla bla bla blaaa.M4_UA wrote:1. i wonder why it's called "2nd kashan" (mb for yellow sand color?).

2. Haven't had that.
3. I do get freezes at the start of the round, but that is because of my shitty PC. No freezes or lag after 3-4 minutes.

I love the map, but players CTD a decent bit. One night Fizz and I were crewing a tank on the map and he must have crashed at least 4 times before he raged. Since then I've been keeping an eye out for crashes and it does seem to happen more frequently then other maps.

Thanks. The more specific you can get, the better. The mapper is looking at ways to optimize it for next release cycle.

Re: Black Gold
The Russians don't get a bomber because their su25 is unfortunately broken (no hud, caused server crashes). Its fixed for the next release though, and we may even see a su34 for the Russians which should even the playing field.

Please don't replace one mig with a su25. The 2 mig's vs J10 and SU34 is already leaning towards china in the air.

Map is refreshment for all those people who get bored with Kashan,
and it is good that there is city - which is unfortunately a big pile of random placed Mideast statics.
One MiG-29 is probably placeholder for something like Chinese Su-30 Mkk,
probably reskined tweaked vanila Su-34.
And also one question to ya all :
Why China and Russia - eternal allies are fightting each other in some Mideast desert ?
They can feed whole world with their oil,Russia were selling their most advanced weapons to China
until China started to invest hundreds of billions in their own military technology.
I think that for them would be much more realistic story a battle for some buried spaceship that were both discovered and not about oil.
