Pretty much they can do what they want. Whether it is ethical or not is another thing.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
The ban is not the issue, hardcore was a last resort anyways, its the extortion of money from players i can't handle. I'm not here to dispute my ban (ultimately they can do what they want) unjust or not.Pvt.LHeureux wrote:But if you were banned it's for a reason. I was temporaly banned from this server one time because an admin started banning anyone that used global chat. Maybe it was something similar for you?
BUT if you really want to know join their forum and check out my ban appeal. All is explained there. Then you can speak from an informed position

Permanent ban too..................I have invited them to join this debate to justify this, via their forum, but up to now they seem afraid to respond. I guess their "skillz" don't extend past teamstacking and baserape.

You apparently think our games are "sucky", you have shown no desire to continue playing here, and you blatantly offended me. Why did you even bother with an appeal? If you want to be unbanned you can donate $5 to the server or else ban stays.
=]H[= shwedor
So this guy agrees with unbanning a person they obviously don't like for five lousy bucks. Of all stories I've heard about this skilled server, this is the best one. I'm kind of speechless.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Alright Uber, let's set some things straight. You were banned because you were whining in all chat about the admins, the rules and the server being 'sucky' ("this server fucking sucks" were you words). This whining stemmed from the fact that you sent multiple server reports to in game admins concerning base rape on an insurgency map. If you had taken the time to read the =]H[= server rules, you would know that the base rape is allowed on insurgency maps.
You were subsequently banned for bad mouthing both admins directly and the server itself. If you think the server is so sucky, then why would you want to continue playing there and ruining 63 other people's experiences.
As for Shwedors decision to ask you to pay $5 to have your ban removed, this is completely legitimate. This is their server, their rules, and their money that goes into it. After you were asked to pay $5, you said on the forums that you would just buy another CD key. Not only is this frowned upon by admins anywhere, but it seems like you were just provoking. Which it certainly seems like you are doing, considering you started this post on these forums, and posted the link in your ban appeal on the =]H[= forums. Don't spread slander simply because of your own inability to follow rules and show respect.
@saxoni, the $5 is more of a sign of good faith. It could be 50c for all that matters, it just shows he's willing to own up and get back to playing.
By the by, I am NOT with =]H[=, just a pubber. And i would think that the only reason a member has not posted here yet is because they don't care. You were banned for acting like an asshat, and there's no reason to follow up on that.

Considering that he defends the server, I think he's a fanboi. He's probably one of the lucky getting switched over to the clan every round, helping them steamroll the rest of the poor pubbers.Pvt.LHeureux wrote:saXoni, MacGyver_ is just explaining the situation, I don't think that would make him a fanboi.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
saXoni, quit being an ***. All players, pubbers or members, will only get teamswapped by an admin if autobalanced caused a switch, or if they are in breach of one of the server rules concerning that (shared IP's for example). And i can admit, sometimes the teams are stacked. But i can say firsthand that members WILL swap teams between rounds to even the odds. Yes, I am defending the server, but only because Uber has neglected sharing information regarding his ban and his behaviour and bringing this here, in an obvious attempt to slander =]H[=. If you would consider things from their perspective, that seems like a raw deal.
And "badcorebunny", i can honestly say i've never seen you in the H server before, nor are you on their members list. Interesting....
