Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Thread reopened (sorry Soabh).
This thread is in the wider community spirit, and if this is found to be true, H clan will be finding that their server license is revoked. Profiting privately from BF2 is illegal and against EA EULA. If you think we will stand for it, you've another thing coming. I demand H investigate this and report back to me personally on this matter with truthful findings, or find their server license revoked. How dare you, IF this is true. This thread has been reopened to provide legitimate and mature feedback on this issue ONLY. I am requesting proof (publically or privately) of this allegation, and will confirm if it has been confirmed or not. There no be no official comment made for or against the clan in question on this matter until we report our findings.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Hello, I have been a senior member of Hardcore for a couple years and I want to comment on this thread.
1. yes there is a team stacking problem on our server and a lot of friction inside the clan about it from the opponents of it and the others who reply with "we joined the clan to play with the clan". I come from the view of even the teams to make it a fun game. You can very often see me switching to the unstacked team to play, and often times I will stay on whatever team the server puts me on when I join stacked or not. I just won't switch teams regardless, but more often than not I try to play on the opposite side of the stack
2. I don't know of any admin actions on our server that are not justified.
3. I think this paying for the unban was a joke. As you can see this guy that got banned is a complete tool and would probably just get banned again. If he is willing to pay $5 for an unban and then be a tool again for another ban and then pay again...well we might have a free server thanks to him.
4. If anyone is complaining about the lack of teamplay on H server then come to the server and lead a squad and promote teamwork. Lot's of people now use mumble on the server and you can also join ventrilo to reach more people
5. Have fun on the free server

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Edit: since EasyAlpha's comment was essentially removed this made no sense anymore.
Edit. sabwarfare, team stacking isn't a problem only on Hardcore, it's more of a gameplay problem: of course people want to play in the better team and with their clan & friends. The ideal solution would be that both teams consisted mostly of different clans and other groups that play well together, but that isn't very often the case.
Many servers accept donations or other kinds of fees (TG and SISU for example) you can also become a supporting member of the Realitymod by donating. How would Hardcore server differ in this sense?[R-DEV]Gaz wrote:Profiting privately from BF2 is illegal and against EA EULA. If you think we will stand for it, you've another thing coming.

This is an issue of an admin looking for a sign of commitment from a disruptive player.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Damn, I've kicked like a third of these posters for asshating.
When you have a complaint on a player(s) and you want the admin to know, you use the "!r [name here] (reason)" function, because I CANNOT tell when someone wants an admin in 'blue' text. Use the proper report function and I will be all over the issue. Complain improperly and I might think of you as a person who does not read before entering a game server that has RULES, policies and protocols. If you feel your needs are not being met in the game, you are more then welcome to use the forum to leave your issue for review.
The use of vent and/or mumble to contact an admin about an issue is very helpful and is encouraged.
The end!

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
Maybe server admin can make a rule to rule those admin in server.
We used to have some trouble with one of our admin who acts like a dictator. Players dont like him and even nearly caused a war, his post on Chinese forum made us sick.(He kick or bannish those "no teamwork"players himself)
But thanks God, we finally came out a rule to control admins and that admin is not longer a admin.
The reason we donate and collect money for a PR server is we love this Game! Yes, I admit some of players made us mad, but what all we should do is deal with those guys with actual rules! Pay respect to them and they will respect us.
Op please forgive that admin, Maybe he was suffering a bad day, and posted things like that. Everything will be fine if we can understand each other!

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
EasyAplha, quoted and linked quotes on your site would help greatly.
I'd rather the unedited (HINT HINT) version of the server logs were sent to me personally, EasyAlpha. Otherwise this could easily end up either way. I assume you see what I'm saying? That version is rather edited, isn't it? (You can be SURE I'll be asking any hoster for cached originals anyway as the legal license holder). These things need to be said as it seems there's a bit of a drama here clan wise.
If you've just gotten me involved in a petty clan piss contest, you'll find both of you will not have servers very much longer, as I will personally withdraw said licenses myself. That is NOT why we exist. We MAKE this modification, and if you think I or anyone else on this team is here to babysit you; stand by, as you have never EVER met a worse person to corse than me. I'm a little fed up lately in that some think that's what we do. Do DO NOT babysite clans, retards or hissy little pricks; infact I will do the opposite.
I trust I have made a rather clear representation of where the PR Dev Team sits on these matters. Otherwise, the community has our FULL backing. This is not a place for mass PMing me, or rallying on a thread, as I will destroy that instantly if I think it's fake.

The ban is irrelevant. What matters is that you're agreeing with unbanning a person if he gives you $5.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
While I do feel that ubernuka was justified in getting banned for his abusive behavior as evident in this forum, asking for a 5 dollar donation for an unban seems to cross the line between principal and extortion. I mean that's a slippery slope for banning other people for no or less offensive reasons and then extract 5 dollars off them to support your server. Sure servers need money to continue their operation, but if they break licensing rules to do it, then they should stop this practice immediately.
I like the =H= server simply because it's always fully populated with players with the maps I like to play in. If =H= server is taken off PR, that's would be a major mistake since most of PR player conjugate there most of the time. I hope PR takes this into consideration.

Re: Paying to overturn a ban on ]H[ server.
It is not now, nor has it ever been the policy of the Hardcore Gaming Clan to force people to pay donations in exchange for removal of server bans. There has never been a statement release on my website instructing members to do this policy concerning bans. This is a isolated incident by a member of my gaming community. In the spirit of EA's BF2 EULA prohibiting noncommercial use of their product, we do not have fees for reserved slots on our server, and we do not require our members to pay dues. We are strictly 100% donation based. I apologize for any misunderstanding in this case, and I will be launching an investigation into this matter.

Server being up or down doesn't change player demand.
I am compelled not to comment on this matter until it is resolved. I will say this; I think this demonstrates that admins should always be careful how they make points to players/offenders. Botched statements spoken with authority can be pretty nasty.

But other wise you have no way to repent for your sins.
I mean i accidentally got banned off big D 2 for teamkilling a team killer.
And that was the only server in the world that has less than 100 ping.
I really wish there was a way for a second chance.

Agree 100%; even if taken out of context. Servers should take this opportunity now to get a grip of this situation if it has ever occurred. However, there ARE other PR servers that can become popular rather quickly when others lose face publically, if that circumstance were to occur. A server is easily replacable if a loss of face/trust is suffered.[R-CON]Jafar Ironclad wrote:Server being up or down doesn't change player demand.

I have taken the server offline I feel sorry for all the hundreds of players that play on my server on a daily basis but the actions of the individual that started this thread has caused me to do so until I research his ban and provide logs to the DEV's.
